I can’t figure out why I want this animal. We already have a wallaby, we just got a marsupial, but somehow this is one of my favourites.
Well they’re entirely different in niche from the wallabies we have (if the red-necked wallaby is a deer, the rock-wallaby is a caprine, plus they live in different climates), and they’re super pretty to boot! Definitely one of my most wanted animals, especially given how many of them there are in my local zoos*.I can’t figure out why I want this animal. Dang this is hard. Alright:Rock-wallaby is an underrated pick. Not sure if we'd get it just after quokka but certainly not impossible.
Here is a challenge, make a mountain animal pack but every habitat animal has to be from a different continent (with one repeat of your choice, since Antarctica isn't really doable) Here's mine:
01. Barbary Sheep (Africa)
02. Alpine Marmot (Europe)
03. Hamadryas Baboon (Africa)
04. Spectacled Bear (South America)
05. Yellow-Footed Rock Wallaby (Australia)
06. Wapiti (North America)
07. Himalayan Monal (Asia)
Mine’s pretty similar, but with different species for the Americas (plus the gelada instead of a baboon):Here is a challenge, make a mountain animal pack but every habitat animal has to be from a different continent (with one repeat of your choice, since Antarctica isn't really doable) Here's mine:

Yellow-throated martens occur only in Asia. The beech marten is a good alternative for a European marten though (also occur in Asia, including the Himalayas).. Yellow-throated Marten (EU)
Oops my bad. I just though ‘yeah, a marten’ and didn’t think which one I was using lolYellow-throated martens occur only in Asia. The beech marten is a good alternative for a European marten though (also occur in Asia, including the Himalayas).

They do and in some places, like in my country, they exclusively live in mountains1. Spectacled bear (SA)
2. Rocky mountain goat (NA)
3. Markhor (AS)
4. Sichuan takin (AS)
5. Gelada (AF)
6. Yellow footed rock wallaby (AU)
7. Idk Wolverine or Alpine marmot just for the sake of not another ungulates lol do cappercaillie live in mountains?
Ok then i choose them for EuropeThey do and in some places, like in my country, they exclusively live in mountains
Oh I know, the chances of getting a highlands pack (or mountains based) are like 50%, but the chances of getting the exact roster I've been set on is unlikely. I do however think that my roster is the same amount of work as the Grasslands Animal Pack. 2 unique rigs, 2 that would be based off rigs but a bit more work, and the remaining 3 are direct clones.but you might be setting yourself up for disappointment.
Well i'll be fine with a Mountains or taiga pack and i'm expecting it, but honestly i would love if they really give us the Latín America pack instead. A full year of warm climate packs and next year would compensate.@CharlieXGaming just out of curiosity with all the hype drawn in surrounding the highlands pack in this thread what if the next pack isn’t a highlands pack? I ask this because during the life of PZ I don’t think I’ve ever successfully predicted a single dlc right. Every time I suspected one thing it turned out to be totally different. Of course there were packs we all knew were coming but never actually when I expected them. I like the idea of a highlands pack as none of the animal choices are particularly bad but you might be setting yourself up for disappointment. But I do see us getting a highlands pack but I think it will be a mountains pack or taiga for the name personally.
Syrian hamsters are another example. They're extremely common pets, but they're endangered and so difficult to find that they were thought to be extinct in the wild during the 90s.Yeah axolotl are another prime example. Despite being almost extinct in the wild, its basicly impossible that they will vanish entirely.
Due to their history in science and now their popularity as pets its likely that there are probaly like 1000 times more axolotl on the planet that the original number that was in their original habitat
Dream:Let’s do something different, still related to highlands. Instead of making a separate thread for this, compare your dream Highlands Animal Pack to what you think the actual pack will be.
My Dream (that I actually think could happen):
Spectacled Bear
Markhor
Gelada
Wolverine
Sichuan Takin
Pallas Cat
Rock Hyrax
Titicaca Water Frog (E)
Realistically:
Spectacled Bear
Markhor
Wolverine
Pallas Cat
Gelada
Alpaca or Himalayan Tahr
Rocky Mountain Elk
Titicaca Water Frog or Giant Salamder (E)
Why would the wolverine need a new rig? They'd just use the badger as a base.new rig
Might be because I keep voicing my disgust over the thought of the Wolverine using the badger rigWhy would the wolverine need a new rig? They'd just use the badger as a base.
Why though? The rig is just the framework. Why make a brand new one for an animal of a very similar shape to the badger?Might be because I keep voicing my disgust over the thought of the Wolverine using the badger rig![]()
