How is it an Amazon pack with an Asian animal?

EDIT: Dodn’t realize it was 2 dlc ideas 😅

Agree. The Farm/Petting/Children's Zoo scenery pack would be another good one for spring, especially if it had ducks!

SA deserves its own big Animal Pack for sure, really hope Frontier have that in mind too and that they're hard at work on all the different monkey / arboreal animal animations...
Ducks and rabbits are something i can get behind for a domestic pack

Final Animal Rankings:
  • Wolverine: 10/10 top ten animal for me that really helps fill out musteloids and the small critter niche. Can be used for NA as well.
  • Mute Swan: 10/10 One of my most-wanted birds. I'm so happy they will be here. Ponds will be so much nicer. This will go in many of my zoos.
  • Herman's Tortoise 8/10: It's not a bird, but an exhibit tortoise and an exhibit animal for Europe is important. It matches with the salamander.
  • Takin: 7/10 Given the pack theme, I'm a little less nervous about the markhor not making it hence the extra point, but I'm very glad Asia finally got a goat.
  • Wisent: 6/10 They look great, and they seemed like the biggest gap to me for European ungulates. I might use it sometimes.
  • Saiga: 5/10 It's interesting and somewhat requested. It's not super common in zoos, and an Indian antelope would have been better. It's not bad
  • Sloth Bear: 4/10 Good rep for India, and I was thinking each of the bear species was important. However, the 6th Asian bear was the least of my bear priorities.
  • Wild Boar: 3/10 I'm afraid of pigs and personally dislike this animal, but it seems important for Europe. I'm happy for those that wanted it, and it's not shocking to receive.

I think that PK could more easily get fully aquatic animals than PZ, simply because of how you place animals in PK. They don't have to worry about staff gates or anything like that.

Really not seeing Signals in the Pack directly. But as others already posted. The Winter DLC after the 5th anniversary could be a realistic ending point. But who knows? The Game already ended 2 years ago by some other content creators prediction and it still has support.
that would put the game around the 200 animal mark depending on the coming pack types so it is definitely possible even though it would be sad.

Rating the pack roster (final)

Swan: 10/10. It was about time to get a new type of bird and specially a waterfowl. Mute swan was also iconic and essential for Europe
Takin: 9/10. Great pick for more caprines. Looks distinct from anything else in the game and expands on China's roster.
Sloth bear: 9/10. The bear i was hoping to get eventually but feared was never going to make it into the game so i'm really happy about it. Looks unique, i hope it adds the cub carrying behaviou and it helps expand India's animal roster that is lacking a few key species at the momento SO is a very welcomed choice.
Wolverine: 8/10. The most wanted animal of this community and covers a wide Ranger. Useful for NA, Europeand and Asían zoos alike. Small carnivore that is neither a cat nor a dog.
Wild boar: 7/10. Not something i care much about but i always thought it was a staple of european wildlife and therefor essential for true rep for that continent.
Saiga: 4/10. I still think is very niche and not very useful. But now that the whole pack is not a disaster i raise it's value a bit more Looks unique and is very endangered so it has value.
Wisent: 3/10. Boring. Not worth a place in a DLC that i have to pay for. Straight up clone that should have been anniversary gift at best. Doesn't get a 1 because it has a important conservation history, is essential for European rewilding and of course the model will look good (and probably allow for the american bison to get a bit of a glow up)
Hermana tortoise: is an exhibit box animal (i assume) so is not fair to rate it compares to the rest. Is nice to get a small tortoise. I still want one for habitat.

However, the wisent and Hermann’s tortoise are essential for any European zoo!

I want to start out by saying this pack definitely was great to a big portion of the community and included many wanted animals.

This pack has been a huge let down for me 3/8 animals the takin, tortoise, and sloth bear are not eurasian in distrabution but either asian or european making their choice in this pack seem weird. I was also really hoping for an asian specific pack this was great for europe in terms of representation but asia is definitely still lacking and the pack theming doesnt bode well for my beloved antartica pack. The fact that this pack out of all the animals in eurasia is still half full of ungulates irritates me can we please get anything else we need more mammalian diversity then just the 2 same orders again and again.

The swan was a good choice just not too personally excited for it but it does mean alot for the diversity of birds and the future of the game so I think it was a great addition.
Out of the entire roster of this pack there is only one animal I wanted and 2 I will even use so pretty disappointing.
This is for me the second worst pack this year behind arid and oceania.

See you all next year to do this all again.

I agree with some of your points. In my opinion, the species selection of Eurasian bags is the product of compromise, and Company F most likely wants to find a compromise route. But in my opinion, the Asian region is still underrepresented. I like the winter DLC, but as of right now, its species selection really feels like a compromise.

Just saw the Takin on the last Instagram post. It looks amazing! I haven't really wanted them since I thought it was either gonna be them or the Musk Ox in a Highlands Pack. But now that we didn't get that I'm happy that the Takin were included in this DLC.

I'm not very good at building habitats but I'm looking forward to see all possible mountain builds that players are going to make for Takin.
