WTH is up with this game??

Those are in there by design. These were added in 2.2. It ma have escaped your notice, but you can buy fish, bear, and grain. Many missions from the mission board require this. Idk why you think these are different.

I was taking some Aid Workers to a station when i got a message offering 170,000cr if i dropped them off somewhere else to become slaves. I was getting 7,000,000cr anyway LOL
surely if the game knows I've got the passengers it should also know how much I'm getting paid. Why does it offer a fraction of the payment to take them even further?

I was flying a bunch of refugees to a station in Medb about 1.6m ls away from the jump point - getting paid about 20m for it so it's all good. I was asked to take them to an alternative destination instead, for an additional 70k credits. The alternative destination was Katzenstein Dock in 36 Ophiuchi which I think I'm right in saying is the second most distant station from a system drop-in point behind Hutton orbital; it's 0.14 LY from the primary star. Yeah, how about 'nope'. :D

I've never seen a tip-off mission that had a time bonus and, as of late, these tip-offs seem to have disappeared; haven't seen any.

Nah, one for beer, one for fish, one for grain so not tip off missions for sure. Besides I have never received a tip off mission just sitting in the system that I base out of. They have always come when out and about the sector.

Just to clarify, "Tip Offs" aren't missions.

They're messsages you get in your inbox after having run lots of missions. They don't contain a mission (i.e nothing goes into your transactions tab), just a set of coordinates to investigate if you want. They have the message subject "Tip-Off"

What the OP is experiencing and has already been explained is, if you sit around doing not much in an instance for long enough (not entering hyperspace etc) you'll get offered missions via your inbox in space. You can accept these, and they're just like any other mission and appear in your transactions tab.

The two are quite different things.

Ah, I never do tip offs or let them sit long enough to see if they ever expire.

New message board is seriously glitchy. I also keep getting spammed with notices for stupid chain missions I don't want to do. I just ignore/delete everything as much as possible.

It's good concept but for the love of Pete, make it something we want to do, make me an offer I can't refuse. Don't try to get me to turn around 25 minutes into a 40 minute supercruise so I can deliver 20 units of this or that for 120K Cr. Offer me 20 million to kill someone where I'm going. I'll go illegal maybe, maybe not.

I don't think anyone does these things, why are they in the game? Is it REALLY game breaking to offer a few insane payouts for these scripted requests? Do they actually want anyone to do these or is this just filler material to say the game has a lot of stuff to do?

Another thing, on planet surfaces. I don't care to find 8 canisters of legal salvage that's worth about 50K total. Now and again let me find something worth 50 million. That will get me scooping.
