Xbox One GPP to full game details - PLEASE READ

....unless the current xbox client build is the final release build and is already compatible with the current server galaxy. They seem very certain that Tuesday is the release date, so the new build must already be approved by Microsoft if they are pushing one out.

I would hazard that they have now implemented a process by which all changes are flagged as to whether they require a client or server update to other platforms, so they can manage the builds appropriately to minimize the number of console client pushes.

If you check out Zac's latest updates, he lists the size of the download as 5.3GB, so we are definitely getting a NEW client update. Would have been odd not to for the final release, since we have always had to download the latest build every other time they were released. Besides that, GPP 3.0 has a ton of problems, notably V-Sync is turned off resulting in a ton of screen tearing. That can't be fixed on the server side and would require a new client, even if it were the only issue with what we have now, which isn't the case.

What about ships that I don't have the rank for?

If you own the ship already you will keep the ship. If you die, you will not get the ship back. Unless you have insurance. Where you will get the ship back. :)

Hmmm, that's not so good. Can I get a Imperial Courier then in the PC version please? I don't have the rank to buy it.

Just so I'm clear on commander names, an Xbox commander can have exactly the same commander name as a PC Commander?

Still waiting on an answer to my question about unsold First Discovered data at time of release...will we get credited/paid for it (monetarily)? I know the tags all get wiped.

I was hoping the the paint jobs/skins would be coming to the Xbox One full game. After all, last time I checked it gave you the option to purchase them from the ED store (admittedly, this was when it launched on GPP - I haven't checked since then but last I heard it still wasn't available).

Apparently they WILL be coming, we just haven't been told When.

I've been out of game for a good few weeks and I was thinking of getting the XBONE version for the couch. But am I right in thinking I can't use my PC Commander on XBONE at launch? Or will I be able to? I've seen conflicting information when I've searched so not sure.

Great news sound's a lot better than how it was originally going to happen nice job ED devs.Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly for everyone on the 6th

Will the near constant screen tearing be fixed ?

I love this game as much as the next CMDR but the screen tearing since the last big update is unbearable.

CMDR Obidanshinobi80

Noob Question:

I keep reading forum members in this thread mentioning PC users. Is this update supposed to merge us all together? (Xbox & PC players sharing and playing in the same persistent world)

Yes and no. We share the same background galaxy, so info is the same between the two, but PC/Mac can't interact with XB1 commanders.

Wow, it's great that we get to keep our ships.

I hope all all goes well for you guys at Frontier when rolling the game over on October 6th!

Doesn't quite answer the question if we're actually all on the same server. Nobody able to answer the question if the 6 hours downtime also affect the PC users?

I would suggest checking on their forums for any threads about that. I don't believe that the XB1 version is running on the same servers as the PC and Mac. We access the same databases which are separate machines from the actual multi-player stuff as far as I know.

So I would say NO. The PC version is not going to be down when the XB1 version is being updated.

Does this mean that pc/xb1 exploration data are being merged?
