Your favourite ship names. Let's all point and laugh.

I've finally broken my ship naming convention for my PvP piracy T7.
Because nobody expects to be pirated by a T7.
Therefore, I painted it red and named it "Spanish Inquisition".
Right, I bet it's engineered to the hilt though. What's your build?

Oh, for sure. Engineering doesn't show up on a module scan though. Here it is: https://is.gd/FFzMNY

It won't pass a close inspection if they actually bother to look at the modules. I'm counting on people seeing a pip on their radar in the rings, noticing that it's a T7, and not actually turning to do a scan until I'm on top of them. So far it's worked pretty well.

True story:-

I used to have a little speedboat which was moored at a local farm on a river.
There was also a sailing boat moored there which was called "Sir Osis of the River".

Unless I can aspire to that level of punning, I don't really bother.

I do, however, have a Python called "Monty". 😕

That's all I could come up with when I bought my first one. Later on, with the application of certain ship-kit parts and a Squadron Shadow paintjob I realized it had a passing resemblance to a 34th century SR-71, and it was renamed "Habu".

My second Python which was purchased, fit and then deployed to Robigo specifically for passenger runs to Sirius Atmospherics got the "Sirius BizNiss" moniker.

I have "Grasshopper" for my jumpy exploration DBX, "Annie" for my mining conda, "Zeca Brabo" (Angry Zeca as a little homage to my grandfather) for my Challenger, and for my brand new Krait it will be: "Ganker Blocker" (plate "CMKLLME")

=]

T-10 : JMC Red Moon (cannon build so no shields and no getting rid of the bright green fighter)

FAS : Widowmaker (its a bit rubbish though so will need some extra engineering. But going to get my vette before I give it enough work to warrant an MKII moniker)

AX challenger - “Oken’s Fury” named for Professor Oken out of Independance Day.
Stealth DBS - “Dark Ember”
Cobra Mk3 runaround - “Warp Rattler”
Asp Explorer - “Palomino” from the Disney classic the Blackhole
Fed Eagle (fun Pve/pvp) “Red Baron”
Mining Python “Avarice”

Bit geeky, I know!!

Condas - Lila MuhKuh, Cattle Express
T-7 - Maja (it has the bumble-bee paint)
FdLs - Eff-Dee-Ell, Mostly Harmless, Training Wheels
iEagle - 1t of Cargo, please (piracy)
Orcas - Diamond tours (piracy), Pleasurable Pain (combat)
Sidewinder - Space Dorito (that name was given by an unknown CMDR, many thanks)
FAS - FFFAAAAAAAAAAASSSS (might be missing a few letters)
T-10 - wHO cALLED mE cHUNKY? (Caps lock gang)
Carrier - LRCS Suklaapatukka

I tried combining adjectives and nouns to come up with a good name for my anaconda. Eventually I admitted defeat and the nameplate now reads "The Adjective Noun".

My T10 has the paintjob that's closest to being black and yellow hazard stripes and is named Keep Your Distance. I can't be bothered fumbling with the comms interface too much so I consider the colours and name fair warning to anyone passing through the slot in the opposite direction.

My asp explorer is Earendil and my exploration/xeno research dolphin is The Truth Is Out Here.

In my early early days I briefly flew a T7 miner. Sometimes I miss the Galloping Meatloaf.

I will never be able to look at a T7 ever again as anything other than a delicious meal. Which actually, isn't too far off the reality of the situation when you fly one of those traps.
