It's simple. Lack of content. Thing that is plaguing ED and will be, forever unless miracle happens and Fdev steps up their game. ED has a massive potential that would eat Star Citizen like no business, all that it takes is to harness it and profit. It doesn't take a genius to know that better the game is, more buyers flock, and with them more money - see GTAV, part of its success is being in a good brand, sure, but much greater part is how well the game is made - even now, after 8 years and seeing everything there, you still install it from time to time because it's just so well done, and new content keeps coming regularly. Back to ED's case - waiting for so long, we got nothing new. With this work ethic, if I was your average boss - you'd get fired on the spot if you brought me "this" as a result of your work. You want your game to be on top? Then move your butts. I've been gaming since first Elite: Frontier saw light (actually sooner, my first Elites were the ones on Amiga), and I can tell when something has potential - ED has, all it takes is to work for it. What we have now, the Ubisoft way of doing things (repeat 1 thing ad nausea and call it gameplay), that is wrong. Who gives a duck's about "storyline" if it means all we'll do is combat goids for next 6 months.
