It's a foggy memory but I think San Diego Zoo used to have walkthrough bird of prey aviaries, did they not? I remember wandering through a canyon-themed aviary and seeing some kind of hooked-beak predator looking down from the rocks. I don't think birds of prey are any more dangerous than any other bird anyway.Would birds of prey not be limited to owls and the like, I can't imagine an eagle walkthrough aviary
I mean, parrots are more liable to cause you random bodily harm and they're walkthrough animals all the time. The kea in the aviaries in NZ zoos frequently land on visitors and try to steal things, like jewellery, sunglasses, even cellphones.
Edit: That said I hope the walkthrough exhibit isn't the only version of itself we get. I'd still like a few varieties of aviary so they don't all look same-y.
