Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

That's one for #StellarScreenshots

Just when i was saying recently that there were too many glowing postcard pics in there already - ok gonna eat my own words again :D

*...wellll it's not totally golden glowing lighting, a bit mauve even - here a few more from this shoot - with Kermit the DBX looking quite nice in Azure Blue:

**This is Quaaya C1 btw - the main attraction were the Recepta, listed in the Codex as a first discovery ("reported"), but the Fumerola Aquatis are quite plentiful here too... now just where are those mystery Bacteria that showed up on the DSS?

Possibly

I am impressed you seem to have confirmed more Electricae than have been reported.

I was rather intrigued to see that too... is this a bug?

*and the same on mine with Fungoida (3/15) and Osseus (15/19) ...oh also Concha (14/15) at a glance

**on closer inspection, i have 6 x Radialem (the spikey ones) variants ...and just one of the Pluma (the ones in V886 Centauri)

Just got back to the carrier after finding a system with 22 bios on various bodies and managed to find most of them. All duplicates of course and I think I only got one Codex, but just to show that it's well worth it reward-wise to go after all the duplicates as well, on bodies that are first footfalls for you and get all the "First to Log" bonuses, look what I got from that one system:

And that was without any Stratum Tectonicas!

The rewards from Quaaya were more modest understandably - and i never did find those bacteria - but it's still recommended for the Recepta / Fumerola and the views... :]

Yeah, this is one of those FDEV things. :)

Mebbe this is exobio-BGS wierdness - i don't know about this much, but thought the values were meant to be determined by scarcity/abundance, ie: rarer / less reported species would have higher payouts for scans? (in which case Stratum Techtonicas values should have long plummeted...)

...i also see that Tyres & my own discoveries lists are out of synch - and really, since they're both from the Inner Orion Spur, shouldn't the discovery "reported" tallies be the same?

That would make too much sense. So no, it doesn't work that way. Prices are just fixed amounts, set by FDEV seemingly randomly.

The Codex is very buggy. As you can see.

I found my favorite rock, some Fonticula, and Bacterium, all in one place. What's not to like? :)

I ran across this cool-looking little moon, near a gas giant. The coloring looked interesting from space, so I went down to see. No atmosphere, but there were some geological signals.

The surface was complex, with some interesting views, like this little lava pit.

Fun times.

Indeed :D

Yep, recall seeing much the same values for those Strata all over the Spansh exo finder… mebbe it’s on the OD to do list still - ie: link it properly to the BGS - this being a “get it out the door in time for release” simplified / fixed value version?

Sure been a while tho…

That looks like it might have once been Osseus - now it’s “ossified” :]

Fun times.

These brightly coloured little moons have some of the most interesting, colourful landscapes - lots of yellow, so possibly Sulphur-rich… makes sense with all the volcanic activity there i think.

So, after getting my FC, I figured my grinding days were over?
No chance - First I spend a day delivering Tritium to the carrier, then I run low on credits, so back to the Robigo grind.

This time, I've re-engineered the python, so it can do it in 2 jumps.
Had to ditch a 3E cabin for a 3H Gurdian FSD booster, so less passengers, but now I can do a return trip in sub 10 mins, so ~6 trips an hour @20-25 Million credits per trip.

...Then this happened :)

Well I have spent this past year being poorly (no flight hours since Odyssey); but have just finished getting my controls back together. Had to 'slum' it with a TM Warthog as I could not get a Logitech X56 Pro in stock. it's a crying shame.... ;)

So I am planning to spend tomorow setting up my key-bindings at least enough to do some Robigo Mines tourist runs. Have to go get me some of the new toys from the resccue mega ships too.

So thats what I have been up to. Who knows; if my squadron is about tomorrow I might get a little Thargy-Blasting in :)

pretty sure I am a bit rusty

I thought there was also an allowance for how useful the thing was in the prices paid.

You would think those tallies would match but Codex is strange.

Welcome back and good to hear you are strong enough to handle the worlds heaviest joystick.

First things first, rediscover the fun then start dealing with the rust.
