The reason that so much of this information is not in the game is that the information needed and the way it is presented, depends on the way you play the game. FDev have taken the sensible approach of exporting the data as journals and leaving it for the enthusiast to create the tools. If they had incorporated it into the game then there would be people who would want different data, or presented differently, or like the OP ask for the data to be removed and just give them everything now.
FDev would prefer it if the community banded together, organised themselves and came up with solutions that did not involve the clues being presented on a plate. It perpetuates the premise that Elite is an obsession rather than a two minute game. This is something that some people do not get. They don't understand why you cannot look up the codex to find absolutely everything in the galaxy and they do not understand why Raxxla is not marked on the galaxy map.
I agree that it should be possible to play the game without external tools, and some people seem to be able to achieve that, albeit it being more difficult, by that should not exclude the ability to create external tools that make it easier and customise the experience to exactly what you want without impacting other people. Personally I like the external tools and I have even started writing my own. That half the fun of the game for me.
It does not matter how much Fdev add into the game, there will always be moaners and whingers that want it done another way or want more stuff in the game or, like the OP, want less in the game.
