maybe i should have properly read the CG notes and not just assumed it was deliver cargo in bulk, rather than rares, then not bought a new cutter and outfitted it for cargo capacity ... oh well . better go grab a ship that doesnt have hundreds of cargo space and boatlike handling...
Just gather up 10 or so friends then with judicious use of collector limpets and cargo scoops you can fill the cutter up for 1 run then next time you all help the next friend etc should work fine as long as the delivery station has a large pad.

Friends ? In ED ? what are these mythical beasts?
Its been many years since i have joined up with anyone on Elite :(

Yes, I also thought a little about how it would be if we had really dangerous NPC pirates in the CG system, those hard-engineered ones from Pirate Activity threat level 5 - 7 and even Pirate Lords with their wings. And they attack very often on the way to Musashi.

This would, on the one hand, motivate many players to play in open and create teams to have a much better chance to survive and also create a great, lively atmosphere in Xi Wangda system, similar to the Thargoid Invasion systems, (which currently do not exist); but on the other hand, it would also mean that many players, who don't have ships ready for heavy battles, or don't have experience, or simply don't like combat, would immediately give up on such a CG. So, it's hard to say which is better - this kind of boring CG with many players, or much more difficult and risky, but also far more interesting CG, with fewer players?

It is even questionable whether there would be fewer players, because it seems to me that in these current CGs the number of participants are not very high anyway.

I'm going to tell you right now that making the system pirate infested would deter more players than it encourages. Building a ship for that kind of environment requires a long grind and significant skill. Then you need to actually slot in room for the cargo. Doing it in Open would just be asking to get ganked while you are fighting pirates. I'd probably find people on discord and wing up in a private group to avoid some jerk ruining the operation.

Quite bluntly, the kind of reward you would need to justify this would have be utterly insane. If you are capable of doing this CG, cash and engineering materials would be all but meaningless.

What I think would be better is to have a hauling CG with high value / special items and a bounty hunting CG based on a few megaships hauling in bulk quantities of stuff that generate pirate attacks.

Doing any hauling CG in Open is madness! :ROFLMAO:

Over on Facebook I've read of one hauler destroyed instantly by a CMDR whose name implied that he believed he could use cheats with impunity, and another who saw a ganker ship using a "hydra weapon"...

From lore perspective participating on these CGs is a big NO. Last time it had lead to Thargoids invasion. As player Im just interested whether these weapons will be available for buy later or not.

Much bigger sense would be oppose these CGs …
Yes indeed

So done chasing these pre-engineered weapons in a CG

NEVER should have become a thing...

Yep the fun of Open, nobody can do any serious PvP there as its just full of hackers, complete waste of Space (literally).

Anyway, this is this type of CG where you wonder why they dont allow us to keep visible our book marked carriers EVEN if we filter out the rest of them...
this crossed my mind too. as well as if its worth anything supporting aegis in the "vs" cgs when the war initiators can just have a party, new module and poop on aegis nevertheless of aegis having the bigger support. feels a bit like the community got left out of the community goals.

Ofc, any mercenary worth his salt should do that :)
Any mercenary that’s only in it for the rewards, and has no considerations to the ethical ramifications.

I guess that probably covers most of them, though, so eh. Probably not worth making the distinction.

If anyone is feeling bad for helping Azimuth, since the rum is basically the only one being delivered, you can believe that this will crash the party more than help.

New Investor: "So, I'm famished. What about that Albino Quechua Mammoth Meat? Are we having it barbecue style?"
Waiter: "Sorry, we ran out of it on the first hour."
New Investor: "Oh... at least that Gilya Signature Weapon will be a great memento."
Waiter: "...I don't know how to say this, but there is a waiting list..."
New Investor: "...then, all we have is rum?"
guy on the back is being held upside down guzzling rum from a metal keg
Waiter: "...would you like a glass? Maybe two?"

It turned it basically into a frat party. Cirrhosis for everyone.

Ethics? Sometimes I kill civilians just because they are in the anarchy system. But Azimuth is bad and I'm good? Well, all organizations have their dirty secrets, the only difference is that Wycherly became famous. And those same civilians that I mentioned, will kill me because I stole a cocktail receipt?? And the game itself is very moral because it shoves under my nose 10 tempting missions like scan megaship datalink that I can't solve, just so I can fall for a trick? Ethics do not exist in this game, only the grind is real! :ROFLMAO:
