The launcher does ask for your consent. After the launcher has compiled the system report, you are asked if you would like to send your system summary to Frontier, or you can decline it. It is for the lawyers to decide if the process of analyzing and compiling the system data is already a violation, but it is a false claim that Frontier collects that data (as in: transmit it to them and save them in their database) without your consent. You get to decide if you want to send a system report to Frontier or not.Dear Sir or Madam,
Congratulations on this new launcher.
As it looks at first sight it seems to work.
But!
Please refrain from collecting computer information when launching the launcher without the owner's consent!
This is a violation of EU privacy laws.
If an owner of a computer system does not want to give out their information, they should ask for it and if they deny it, they should respect it.
They do not need this information for the function of their launcher and Elite Dangerous!
We wish them continued success.
Thank you for your understanding.
