Already did, it didnt help( Now its 1h15minsJust cancel and try again. Happens sometimes.
Not by an hour and 15 it wasn't. Its should be 15 minsIIRC this feature was added around U12 to U14.
The queue system for jumping with longer jump times during high demand was added because the servers couldn't cope with load from carrier jumps and nobody could log in and play. Not by an hour and 15 it wasn't. Its should be 15 mins
On patch day, yes. We're not on patch day, so it should be back to normalThe queue system for jumping with longer jump times during high demand was added because the servers couldn't cope with load from carrier jumps and nobody could log in and play.
This maybe, but its not like Elite has huge numbers these days, I still feel like this is an oversight by FDev.There's still things to visit. Carrier jump time spikes always last at least to the next day after an update drops.
Now there's wishful thinking, I'm sure they'll take as much notice as with the CG rewards not appearing the moment a CG completes.someone should sticky this information in the most public place available. It would have a slight chance to cut the threads about jump times after an update in half.
From another (necro'd) thread on the topic courtesy of @varonicaThis maybe, but its not like Elite has huge numbers these days, I still feel like this is an oversight by FDev.
And whats to say any other day fleet carriers aren't jumping in mass and theres no delay
What problem? Originally carrier jump times were 2 hours when first released, this was reduced and reduced and reduced again due to player demands, all the while FDEV stating that there was a point where they could no longer reduce the time and that every jump time reduction could potentially cause issues due to server processing, networking and carrier numbers. Oh look, it's now causing the issues that FDEV warned about when players kept demanding faster jumps. The problem only exists in the players heads, it's of their own making. They reduced the time eventually to what they said was the absolute minimum, which means that any activity out of the ordinary will, not may but will, affect carrier jump times. The players got what they wanted with the understanding there may be delays due to carrier congestion and jump numbers, so where is the problem again?
Unless you have solid proof of this, I find this highly doubtful for any other time FC's are jumping en mass. Patch day I get it (sort of), nearly 48 hours later, this is not normalFrom another (necro'd) thread on the topic courtesy of @varonica
A new update dropped, people are jumping (en masse) to:
-The final resting place of The <redacted>
-The start of the Michael Brookes tour
-Outfitting stations to retrofit their ships for the new AX evac missions and Scythe enounters.
-AXI seem to be moving most of their carriers for various war purposes with the new tissue samples and membrane drops having increased efficiency, as well as to hoard liberated escape pods
So I'm sorry, but yes, there are tons of people jumping their carriers right now. In a few days things will be back to normal. You're lucky you weren't trying to play when the server was overloaded and giving "No Time Slot Available" errors.

From the source link on the wiki: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/update-11-patch-notes.600732/The 15-minute preparation period for a Fleet Carrier jump may increase substantially if large numbers of Fleet Carriers are attempting to jump at the same time. This is a queue-management feature built into the game as a server safeguard.[10]
Fleet Carrier jump times have greatly increased. This is a deliberate queue-management feature built-in as a server safeguard. We expect many Commanders are jumping simultaneously to experience the jumps from the inside! We expect a return to normal levels once this initial spike in excitement dissipates.
You are free to doubt it, but the increased jump times are proof that it happens. Even 48 hours later.Unless you have solid proof of this, I find this highly doubtful for any other time FC's are jumping en mass. Patch day I get it (sort of), nearly 48 hours later, this is not normal
But why is everyone jumping carriers ?? At the same time ?? Or is there something u16 has brought in ?
They in fact did, the post I linked is from U11 where exactly the same thing happened. And it has happened after pretty much every update you listed. And sometimes during popular CGs to a lesser extent.U16 must be a very special update.
People somehow did not feel the urge to "jump en masse" after U15, U14, U13 U12 etc, for some inexplicable reason.![]()
