That was just starting off...I averaged 85-95Mbps during peak time once the download settled in. I might live on a small rock in the north sea, but 100Mbps down and 20Mbps up (average peak time speeds) ain't bad. Download took me around 3 hours. That doesn't compete with full fibre or anything, but considering 10 years ago, the only internet connection available up here was via expensive high latency satellite and we still don't have a subsea cable connecting us to anywhere, I'm not complaining

I am a game designer. I am interested in game design, projects, the industry, so on. I did pay for this Kickstarter. I do have an interest in seeing it completed, or more realistically, get to a point I might get some enjoyment out of it. There are many awesome, fully complete games to play right now, and constantly being released, than whatever state Star Citizen offers me right now.

It seems to have brought out some negative thoughts. OP will be upset :/

The only thing that will actually kill off SC is a sudden and sustained stoppage to the revenue stream, notice how CI give the backers just enough "content" or "ideas" to keep their hopes up, promise just enough to get the imagination flowing, and as soon as people start building the end product in their heads it doesn't matter what they actually receive, they throw money at the person/company who states they are building it because they "believe".

If you actually take a step back, and look at each thing that has actually made it onto backers computers, each thing in isolation, each ship, each feature, each "thing", then you'll see that each and every "thing" is a substandard and janky version of something that already exists in another game. It's easy to spot what they are actually building with the money when you remove the "dreams" and look a bit closer.

This is exactly the impression I have when I play the free flies, or watch SC vids. The jankiness seems to be inextricably linked to every part of the physics, which means it affects every part of the game. Normally, the physics would be taken care of by the underlying engine, but in IMO, their conversion to 64 bit positioning has caused issues they've never been able to fix.
