INTRA shows a spot of progress at Arietis Sector YE-R b4-3 (spire) when it should be 11th at Leigong - did peripheries change?
I must admit its a bit of an anticlimax for Taranis to just kind of stop. I don't really have skin in the game, apart from doing a wee bit of Thargoid swatting here and there, I have largely been watching from the wings so to speak. So, basically, we’ve given the Thargoids of Taranis impromptu holidays until they decide being a pet Titan in the backyard of the people at Swahku isn’t good enough for them. I’m going to go and hope that - for the sake of the effort that want into it - this state lasts long enough to have been worth what it took to achieve.
(I for one don’t expect the Titan to just leave.)
Not specifically, but it seems as if data miners have (possibly) discovered the name of a new Hunter type already - something I have avoided looking into any further, only hearing of it in this post, and the current situation still has good room for… whatever new developments may occur.I did expect something to happen though. Is there any confirmation of an update 18? Maybe there was something introduced in U17 that just needs to be 'turned on'. Hey ho.

Seems like it skipped over HIP 10118 for some reason?{ "timestamp":"2023-11-23T14:12:37Z", "event":"FSDJump", [...] "StarSystem":"Arietis Sector YE-R b4-3" [...] "WarProgress":0.006340,

seems it's contained to an outer 5 at least still so, assuming the alerts take up the remaining slots still, less alarming than feared.{ "timestamp":"2023-11-23T14:46:49Z", "event":"FSDJump", "StarSystem":"Arietis Sector YE-R b4-0", "WarProgress":0.000000,

a new Hunter type
For what it's worth, so far i checked the spire itself then a handful of the outer controls, followed by the other spire just in case.
The difference in distance between HIP 10118 and Arietis Sector YE-R b4-3 is only significant at the 3rd decimal place, so maybe it's just a bug where it rounds first then sorts, and the tiebreak happens to go the "wrong" way in this case.
Yea, all from skinning.Just want to make sure I'm remembering right... there was a time earlier in the war when the Thargoids had just over 1,000 systems yeah?
And now we've cut them down to 300-odd?
The next enemy might not be one that flies around, if you catch my drift.Notably the same may be true for land where we have also two new enemies, discounting the trivial Scavengers.
I don’t suppose we yet know if the alerted spire around Thor can be affected conventionally?
They do, but because Elite, the Odyssey reactivations are apparently completely unavailable(and thus, their material rewards), unless one of the ports is repaired.Just want to check as well... there's no point supporting post-Thargoid repair efforts right? They still just get resolved at the end of the cycle automatically?
I’d presume it’s the sampler group from PDES doing unpopulated alert cleanup as usual. Looks about right for their work.Bunch of progress at Col 285 Sector OG-E b12-1, so it's movable, though I'm not sure what specifically is pushing it.
Yes, even though the stations under repair have needed commodities listed on their newsboards with percentages filled... there's no point delivering them because they'll complete on their own regardless of what is delivered.Just want to check as well... there's no point supporting post-Thargoid repair efforts right? They still just get resolved at the end of the cycle automatically?
I've worked out what's going on there. If the station is too far from a system with a rescue ship, you get no missions. It's pretty dumb. They do, but because Elite, the Odyssey reactivations are apparently completely unavailable(and thus, their material rewards), unless one of the ports is repaired.
Or my game is just broken in letting me access the stupid mission board at recovery ports, only to have absolutely no missions on display. The kind of thing that makes me want to give a game the finger and something else.
Really. That’s seriously dumb. This was never an issue when the rescue megaships still sat over 100 ly from the front.I've worked out what's going on there. If the station is too far from a system with a rescue ship, you get no missions. It's pretty dumb.
Now this isn’t something I’ve personally tested, but considering the source is likely trustworthy, I want to mention - Dark Session’s testing around Leigong seems to have yielded that the pod rescues no longer have any affect on uninhabited systems, but only the populated counterstrikes/periphery (distinction to be made, perhaps, as Indra shows again this week, a populated control can be on the periphery just as well without being counterstrike), with the increasing difficulty at lesser distance applying as well.versus stockpiling some Titan rescues for a future Final Ten week.
