The giant red and white flying squirrel has absolutely become one of my favorite animals over the past few months. I didn't even know it existed prior to that. Normally I'm pretty hardline in wanting only species I could expect to find in a zoo I could easily travel to, but this is absolutely one of those exceptions.

yes,if frontier added the giant red and white flying squirrel, and add a gliding mechanism, it is definitely a very popular animal

My rankings for all animals now they have been revealed:

Wisent - 7/10 (Europe finally got its "giant herbivore" with this, and this is a must have for European zoos!)
Wild Boar - 9/10 (My most wanted ungulate! With this, the pigs feel complete, this was the biggest omission from the European roster for me.)
Mute Swan - 10/10 (The star of the pack, the first waterfowl is an absolute game changer! It feels so good to finally get one in the game and this is a fantastic choice.)
Sloth Bear - 5/10 (I do like this, personally I was done with bears but I'll definitely use this in an Indian area at some point and I can't lie I do like the floof too but definitely one of the less exciting picks.)
Wolverine - 7/10 (Finally, this felt quite overdue. Happy to see this here as it was really iconic for coler taiga/tundra regions and is quite common in European zoos.)
Saiga - 3/10 (The downer of the pack for me, at least it looks unique and represents the Eurasian steppe? I still doubt I'll use it though and I would have much preferred the blackbuck.)
Takin - 6/10 (A really good addition, it feels good to get a Himalayan caprine! 6 might seem low but simply the other animals excite me more and I love caprines so that says a lot.)
Hermann's Tortoise - 7/10 (I'm super happy to finally have a small exhibit tortoise and a European reptile. Probably one of the cooler choices for an exhibit species.)

Overall: 8/10

If it calms you i know that its not a brown bear?
Like duh?
What i actually said is that it adds allmost as little to the game as a 3. Brown bear as all it is is a fuzzy middle stage between the sunbears unique attributes and the asiatic black bear general appearance.
I do not believe that the sloth bear has more value then the fact that its from india, something i to be honest do not value compared to a spec bear from the andes or the ABB that lives literally everywhere.
Im not a science denier, i actually educated myself on the sloth bear before slandering it and still i dont see what it brings what sun and moon bear dont.
And if it's just about being from india the black buck would have been >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> in how usefull it actually would be as the sloth bear is just another mid size carnivoran, a niche filled by caracal, striped hyena and dhole allready, meanwhile for ungulates india is dry as a desert.
I personally still value the uniqueness of the saiga over a generic ungulate for the sake of it, but when we compare two really not that unique animals ud defenetly would rather have a second but usefull antelope then fuzzy sunbear
Well the fact you just compared a predominantly insectivorous bear to 3 carnivores (two of which aren’t as associated with Asia as they are with Africa), that are smaller than it by a significant margin, not to mention that comparing it to two other Asian bears that, despite one being its closest living relative (imma have you guess which one here for funsies), have very differing niches and behavior, all I have left to respond with is, you do you, but don’t get cocky and defensive when someone calls you out for being wrong and a toxic contrarian for the sake of being toxic. I was being a bit more respectful to you than you have been to me, which is lucky given the blatant and willful ignorance that mirrors the drivel that TierZoo and their ilk engage in. I don’t think I’m gonna be as nice going forward

I can respect the fact that this wasn’t an animal you wanted in this pack, but I will not tolerate blatant misinformation that could actually have irl impacts on animals that actually do exist in our world. It’s one thing if it’s nonavian dinosaurs, as they’ve been extinct for 66 million years, but living animals, especially ones that are under threat, is a very different story

Just block and don’t waste your nerves on that one. He always knows best so don’t waste you time because he never listen.
