The first thing i thought of something indigenous themed for display, idk about ice fishing maybe? That seems like a fun one to do
First obvious one would be climate change in the Arctic, second would be natives/indigenous people and their coexistence with wildlife.
For my NA zoo, I have habitats and areas based on national parks.
My Denali section has Reindeer and Dall sheep. I used to live there and enjoyed seeing the sheep along the cliffs.
Maybe some Arctic architecture with some smoke effect from, taiga rocks, polar bear signs, light effects that could mimic the aurora borealis, falling snow. Remember Alaska is known as the land of the midnight sun, perhaps have a wall color or light effect.
This is incredibly incredible. Words cannot describe the sheer realistic-ness of this model. This looks like an actual baby protoceratops. You did an amazing job!
I'm off on a San Diego Adventure in just a couple of days! I'm going to the San Deigo Zoo, Safari Park, and SeaWorld (controversial I know, going for the emperor penguins, don't know whether I'll go back

I feel bad I know so much about the zoo and I've never even been to the zoo at all. That being said, anything that isn't the animals, I don't have much knowledge of. Recreating a zoo and knowing the layout is one thing but visiting the zoo is another. Regarding my recreation, the performance was so bad I moved on after losing a laptop to it.

It was wild. I stayed at Buffelsdrift lodge in South Africa last night and got up at dawn. Saw hippos, lots of birds and all these lovely very chill nyala who hop the fence to eat the yummy gardenWhere can you do that?
I just stayed very still and a young male came up to sniff. My husband and I put out our hands and he booped us each in turn! Also watched a huge black male saunter by and these two young males practicing rutting. Magical.

I actually remember seeing a model of the largest halibut ever caught in Alaska when I flew into an Alaskan airport. Maybe that can be some inspiration for you. I also saw a large taxidermy moose in the airport, and it didn’t feel out of place there.
Maybe you can also do a section on silly Alaskan laws, such as “no dropping moose from a high altitude,” “don’t leave out anything that overly attracts bears,” or “don’t give a moose alcohol.” Yes, all of those are real, but not specifically word-for-word.
Also, speaking of Alaska, may I recommend a TV show to you? It’s called The Great North, and they premiere its fourth season on Sunday. It’s made by a lot of the same people who worked on Bob’s Burgers. It’s about a family of Alaskans who get into all sorts of weird shenanigans, and it’s on Hulu. I think I already talked about it back when we were discussing movie and tv show recommendations.

I’ve been to just the San Diego Zoo before, and it was really great! Also, I recommend going to see the platypus exhibit in the safari park. Please take pictures of them!
