Good to see Drew climbing back into the cockpit again :D

I couldn't help but notice that deep breath at the end.......
Yeah well, remember that anyone with something to sell, also has an incentive to keep you buying.

Any supposed ‘hidden truth’ is not in their best fiscal interests to reveal, why give the cow away for free if you can charge for the milk over time (you don’t actually need to even own the cow), and keep their audience always wanting more.

‘Hey I might know a little something’ but first listen to this…..’.

Note said person had also provided counter intuitive anecdotal information via other channels to indicate the initial statement made by DB to themselves, was in hindsight potentially, open to contextual interpretation!

So salt / pinch.

went to check CD-58 16 and can confirm previous findings.
empty orbital line in proximity to the star visible only from fss.
only degraded emissions, furthest one was 5k ls from star, nothing unusual there.
checked the two bodies for poi, checked distress signal and irregular markers, got some escape pods that i forwarded to s&r in nearby pandemonium system. nothing unusual.

the only thing that struck me a little weird was the accumulation of signals around the moon (s-one). there were like 5-6 signals in space and more than a dozen around the moon, while none were around its parent body (suontaka). those signals were even close enough to the moon, that the debris you can find in them was being pulled by the gravity and started falling as i dropped in. which was cool, but the only other place i saw this accumulation of signals close around a body was in pleiades... dont know if this is common or indication of something more rare.
search continues... :)

Sally definitely says "no" quietly.... lol.... I had audacity open so threw it through a couple of filters to try and reduce Will and the chap speaking lol

and just as the smile is replaced with concern.... just before saying quietly.... nooo.... lol

Worried Will was going to break the golden rule me thinks :ROFLMAO:

The way she then smiles, I presume means that Will was winding them up.... but you never know...

But does suggest they know more than they let on....
I don't think they know about Raxxla. I think I remember Ed saying once, that the community manageres did not know anything about Raxxla.
I think sally is concerned because she know that as soon as Raxxla is mentioned, people go mad in the comment section. 🙂

I suspect a fair number of employees know about Raxxla, its easy to keep such secrets, but I propose it’s irrelevant as to if they know or not, or how much. Fear of loosing one’s job security and reputation being a better incentive than any NDA.

It’s evident FD don’t wish to openly talk about it, that’s possibly due to one of several reasons.

One could be it’s simply not that big a deal for them; it goes against their core narrative eg it’s not what they want us to focus upon; or it’s narrative.

In regards to that video it’s open to interpretation, but I feel Will is simply annoyed by the (rather underhanded) attempt to hijack the stream and his response was sarcasm.

Sallys reaction is potentially just bemusement; those streams must be rather dull to present; I generally can’t stay awake during them, I bet they probably felt the same; mixed with a delayed attempt to make the best of a bad situation and milk it for drama.

Whatever it is, I still maintain that Fdev didn't need to put it in the Codex and supply all those extra clues in 2018.

If you go back to 2017-2018 just before the Codex was revealed this thread was virtually dead with up to days between posts and only the very most die-hard few Raxxla hunters still occasionally posting (or someone new that just heard about it dropping in).

If Fdev didn't want Raxxla to be part of the narrative they'd have continued the policy they already had going: Don't talk about it, don't mention it, don't say the word Raxxla in-game at all, etc. There would still have been the truly die-hard people searching, but everyone else would have (and mostly had) moved on.

Whatever happened, for whatever reason, Fdev went to effort to include a fully voice-acted entry on both The Dark Wheel and Raxxla in Beyond Chapter 3 - the Exploration release which came with all the new scanning tools and the Codex, and all the new features to find in space (anomalies, Lagrange Clouds, and such). Beyond was one of the most well received releases in Elite history, and the community was already hyped for the content, there was no reason whatsoever to include Raxxla in the Codex unless there was something to find.

We all know Covid screwed a lot up for most people in most of the world, but consider that started in 2019 and the repercussions are still being felt. It's entirely possible that there were great and grand plans for development over the next few years that didn't manage to take off or had to be pushed back.

Most recently the Brookes memorial tour dedicated a portion of the final beacon to Raxxla. They didn't need to do that, if they wanted Raxxla to die or to minimise it due to pandemic-delayed-development they'd have simply not mentioned it in the beacon. Much like the Codex in 2018, the Brookes beacon injected a bit of life into the search again.

The fact is Fdev have told us there's something to find, repeatedly. Brookes told us, Braben told us, the later team told us in the Codex by supplying more information and clues than we've ever had before. It was then included in the Brookes tour beacon last year.

So, whatever Raxxla is, whoever knows at Fdev, it seems pretty clear to me that there is something we're supposed to be finding.

Re: The Link

"Hey CMDR,

Thanks for getting in touch.

So, the faction "The Link" in NLTT 46621 system is a player faction. Its description was submitted by the player so typos can occur.

In regards to your second question:
Is there an ongoing or future narrative purpose to this system?
I'm afraid we won't be able to answer this question."

So that answers things partially. The question is: is that blanket cageyness regarding narrative purpose telling or not?

It's been 10 years and all we have is conjecture about raxxla and dark Whell. Can anyone really stand up and point out the clues? The Codex has information that needs to be confirmed, but we still have no clue about this. I believe that the aluminum hat no longer holds the heat from my frying brain in relation to this...

This thread is the answer you're looking for :) Have a look back through even the recent months and you'll see plenty of folks trying to do just this :)

When you get told there will be no clues.. but you have to make it a little bit obvious it's damn hard....

Plus there so much going on in the game (especially in the last year) and so much to look for, the needle in the haystack is hard enough to find but when the haystack is the milky way, 3 races (to date) and a war going on we may never find it....

However if the looking is not fun, then you have to sit and wait .... and accept we may never know....

But I personally have learned (and forgotten!) So much about history, literature, the cosmos, mythology, encryption, etc, etc... so there are upsides to the hunt 😉

P.S. Page 1 and the first post is what we know (or think we know).... :)

Well perhaps we don't have to worry too much... Unless you are Senator Patreus.... If that's from Emperor's Dawn back in the day I'll take the credit as it's my stolen from the lore player (terrorist) faction... Never liked him.... LOL

Looks like people are scanning everything now on the Cannon discord... Fed Cap ship.... I wonder if DB knows :ROFLMAO:

Thank you, maybe this is the best way to see all of this, I'll try to lean on it.

How do you make the spectrogram so refined? where do you get these audios from?
😮:ROFLMAO:
Audacity is the tool most people use and the audios come from recording the game (music off) through Audacity.... spectrogram settings take a bit of fiddling with... if you're trying to repeat someone else's findings generally they publish the setting they use... there's a few examples in the last few pages on here (especially for the landscape signal currently being investigated)

P.S. those two pics are from the cannon discord... not mine.. ;-)

Personally - I believe yes we can.

There is very strong evidence in this thread to solve at least two parts of the Codex, about Art Tornqvist and Cora and the segment about Atlantis etc, which I believe points out a zone or Easter egg dedicated to Robert Holdstock which seemingly is corroborated by FD inserts of the Brookes tour into the same location.

And likewise FD inserts of a Miltonian reference identifying potentially what Raxxla might be and where, with a recently discovered Miltonian model cosmology, plus a whole bunch of weird links to fall down; so yes I feel we’re more closer than ever before this thread moves pretty fast and some of the concepts are rather vast.

Well Kinectimals had Raxxla. It's Cobra engine too even. The path is to play and build friendship with cute tiger and panther cubs, it's very cute.

Or it's just a very simple feature that doesn't require anything to be updated.
Maybe it's a giant floating object that gets procedurally generated from the galaxy seed saying:
RIGHT ON, COMMANDER with Braben's grinning face beaming at you in the void of space.

Already been done (see previous post - Fed Capital ship broadcast it) 😂
