Ah, now I get it. You did a single delivery mission with it, then called in a small ship to travel to the nearest terrestrial shipyard and call the empty 'Conda over. Quite time- and money-consuming way to avoid threading the 'Conda through the mailslot, I would say.I’d do the delivery in the ’conda, using the (original, non-advanced, docking-only) docking computer - then actually call a smaller ship in to fly to a surface port with shipyard where I could recall the beast…
I was so happy/relieved when advanced auto-dock was released that I promptly went out and bought a Beluga - I’ve still never flown that whale of a thing through a mail slot on anything but auto tho ;]

HOT TIMES IN ODIN'S HOLD & ARMPIT
I blew out of Odin's Hold over to the Orion Perseus Arms Conflux - or Orion's armpit, as I have competitively named it (being a competing explorer). This reddish badboy was the last ooh-ah in Odin's Hold. The Stuemiae AA-A H63 Nebula.
This next nebulo was of medium size and my eyes were beginning to glaze over as I sped onward. It is called Oob Chreou AA-A H28.
So if you need some nebulae like that, try em with a double-scoop of class G stars. Ahh
But I curved back towards home. At this point, I began to see pink elephants. The vacuum here is pink. Can't tell without so much molecules in it, huh? This elephant is named Phrae Flyoue AA-A H20.
As I ranged from cabin fever to lucid moments like this. I had my eye on that stratum araneumus, alright. Everything was all blue in the sky
I had found another galactic blue stuff! But I ecscaped!
Touched down at Prisma Renata 3310-02-20 with 49% paintwork.
The black stuff on the Orca chips off a lot more at 49% than the copper on the type-10 at 26! Hmm, perhaps it is the size, or maybe copper is what makes pennies so tuff. Now I'm standing at Vista Genomic counting pennies
But it's good to be landed and eject the dessicated passengers and solve some "inside" problems. Goodbye for now way outer space!
Onionhead Gamma retail is where trade meets exobiology. Now, you don't have to remind me that the OG is grown on ELWs. Still, being not from earth, is it not exobiology or seem like exobiology to some users? Yeahh

Just experienced something a bit scary: I was looking something on my control menus while sitting in the Apex, when I came back to game, the Adder just ended the inertial flight, but something went wrong: she exited that the rear end FIRST.
The pilot fought the commands the best he could, but we crashed with such kinetic energy, by the time I reacted and try to make a sceenshot, we were already on the process of being a vapourised Apex meteorit.
I was supposed to eliminate one person, not to wipe out the entire facility. Unless... that is the secret new feature of Elite? Kinetic weapons of mass destruction?
The pilot fought the commands the best he could, but we crashed with such kinetic energy, by the time I reacted and try to make a sceenshot, we were already on the process of being a vapourised Apex meteorit.

I've snagged a couple 'First Footfalls' between Khun and HIP 12099, gotten re-aquainted with the FSS and DSS - time to see if I can find some Exobiology, too.

Odyssey is weird. My start system was all the way out at HIP 97950 so I just assumed it was the new start location. It was only a few hours later that I noticed the original start systems around Matet were bookmarked as such. Plus I've gone up a couple of trader levels so I don't even expect to get the mission which locks me out of the start point.
Though it doesn't feel like I was randomly placed there by myself because I've noticed a couple of harmless player Sidewinders around. It's a shame if new players aren't getting that moment where they're booted out of Eden and cast into the big wide world.
One little thing I do like though is the blue mission icons on the missions list. It make mission spamming a little better. Usually I'd be tempted to just keep adding new systems to visit, which could put you in a bind at the end of the night if you still have tons of missions active. Now it's easier to maybe do bursts of ten systems and only select missions on your travels for places you're already heading to.

Aaah, gotcha. I didn't even realise people could chat across game modes.
I'm not sure how long I kept ADC and cruise assist but I realised it was more interesting to play the game myself than watch the computer play it for me.
Nowadays, it depends on what I am doing. If I am hunting for materials in emission sources, I will use the SCA, as sometimes, the distances are a little longer. And I am able to target ships in front of me for some additional mats without risking to blast past my targeted point of interest.
I've always rather dismissed the SCA, but that's something I've overlook - duly noted, CMDR!
Not a lot of time to play tonight, so had to hustle it to the Pleiades, not a lot of time for sight-seeing.
Still managed my first full bio-sampling - nothing outstanding, just yer basic Tussock form:
The Nebula and Star Cluster soon hove into view:
And despite my anticipation, I did not get 'goid-icted, arriving safely in the Maia system:
There's a bunch of sights to see in these parts, so I'll noodle around looking for Barnacles, Crash sites and what not like it's eight years ago or something
I really hate that what I actually did was leave the game logged in while going about my day, occasionally checking back for another 12-90 items, then eventually bothering to fly them to the CG.
In terms of active screen time this was vastly more efficient than running missions for resources. It's terrible if your goal is to play more Elite Dangerous, but it is hecking efficient if you aren't really playing right now but can leave your PC on. Sorry, but it does bug me.
Still haven't hit top 50% though and don't think I can. Just can't make a dent on the people who were there at 9am on day one to hoover up the backstock. Again, good idea with this CG, but failure to nuke galactic stocks of the required commodities has made it miss the mark
(But fix it next time and we might be on a winner! 
)

Odyssey abandoned the whole newbie area. You no longer start there. It's normal.
The permit-locked stations still exist but only Horizons starts use them.
If you start in Odyssey, you do the on-foot tutorial, and are dumped in the HIP 97950 system at Chamberlin's Rest.
Some people think this is a bad thing. I'm not one of them. I always thought the newbie area was poorly done and caused more confusion than anything.
Apparently being in a hurry of completing missions because you are one greedy CMDR when it comes to patrol routes can lead you to forget little details like gravity.
That's how someone I know very well, with a brand new Python he doesn't know the reactions, with a few expensive modules not upgraded yet, kinda left orbital flight with quite a bit of pitch down angle and spamming the boost.
Only when he heard atmospheric cracking sounds he knew he screwed up something, and bothered look at the 2.3g indication.
Long story short, there is now a burnt print the exact size of a python on the surface of said planet.
Of course I won't name the pilot in order not to shame mysel... Oh well...
