I haven't seen these in a while, Electricae Radialem.
That's an animatronic decoy. The actual clerc needed a little break in the restroom.Vista Clerk seems only half here today... ;p
As soon as I'm done with a surface scan, I switch back and forth between analysis and combat mode. Eventually, you'll learn the terrain each species prefers and spot it from orbit as your coming in to land. It does help to switch from one to the other. Obviously, your technique is your own and everybody is unique.I'm on a rock that allegedly has two geosigns. According to my DSS probes, these could be anywhere on that planet.
I kinda miss those times when those probes would give me a location instead of a probability. That was definitely a downgrade.

The thing with Geo signs when they cover the whole planet is to look for terrain transitions things like steep hills coming out of a flat plain or canyons running through one, places where the stuff underneath could break through a little easier. It doesn’t mean you will find things there but it feels like a good place to start looking.I'm on a rock that allegedly has two geosigns. Ha, sorry, your right, didn't see the "g" in geo, I thought it read bio.I didn't know those geosigns were alive, too...

I thought so, too. But no luck so far.The thing with Geo signs when they cover the whole planet is to look for terrain transitions things like steep hills coming out of a flat plain or canyons running through one, places where the stuff underneath could break through a little easier. Maybe I should try and find a different place for some exogeology and mat collection. Maybe one that also has some biosigns, too.Yes it was easier when the probe produced list of locations on the Nav panel and the only difficulty was working out the best order to visit them, but as long as they don’t hide from us too long this is better.
Liz seems to unlock some decent engineers though. Like for 5-rated power plants. It's just annoying how she has crappy stuff you need to waste materials on first, even though I have no intention of using the modules. They really need to rework the engineering system. There's stuff I didn't even notice first time round and I found it annoying even back then.Just noodling about down Eurybia way with my 'Sidewinders Only' account, crashing the local silver markets whilst I slowly unlock Engineer Liz Ryder - not usually an Engineer I bother with, but eh, why not?
Taking my time - my second (trade fitted) Sidewinder 'Mule' can only ferry 14 units of cargo at a time (when I strip out the fuel scoop and extra fuel tank...), so getting the 200 units of Landmines needed to unlock her requires multiple runs.
Landing on planets continually gets tedious, so I've been running commodities between local systems (Mainly Advanced Catalysers and Silver) as well as running occasional missions to break the monotony.
I'm enjoying the strictures of only flying Sidewinders - it brings an 'early days of ED' feel to the early game phase. I've missed that - reward creep and targetted activity over the years (all online games go that way eventually) have made the '2 hour Anaconda' a reality, and it's fun to strive for each million in my little ships.
Each million milestone is also when I'm allowing myself to buy a new ship or add/change a single cosmetic to one of my ships. It's slow going, but I'm enjoying it. Inevitably I have picked up Odyssey for this account now - it's 25% off on Steam until the 21st March - and that's after the apparent price reduction to £10 (I'd previously assumed that was a sale price, but apparently not!), but have yet to go doing any highly lucrative Exo-Bio stuffs. Saving that for later.
Anyway, that's enough shilling for FDev, here's a picture - leaving 'Demolitions Unlimited' after dropping off another 14 tons of landmines:

Wait. Are we the baddies?
Given that I'm here making things harder for myself for fun, I'm unlikely to find this outlook persuasiveI don't mean to start a whole engineer thing but at least get rid of the whole 'wasting hard earned materials on engineer X unlocks engineer Y' thing. It's so easy.
Damn you and your ilk.Given that I'm here making things harder for myself for fun, I'm unlikely to find this outlook persuasive![]()

Funnily enough, I didn't need more than grade 1 overcharged PPs, yet.Like for 5-rated power plants.

Well duh. We're humans. We are definitely the baddies in all cases.Wait. Are we the baddies?
