Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

I know I saw a Codger rock around here somewhere, I just can't locate it now.

Hi All :)

Still out mining here.
I've also just been doing a 'spring clean' of my computers and 'computer room' (as my wife calls it). Amazing how much dust, cobwebs and C$%* accumulates over a year!
Hooked up a new 'gaming' monitor as well, a Gigabyte G24F2, great picture / screen, I've been using an old iiyama 24" that's over ten yrs old I think. screen's very dim compared to this new one, though not unexpected, just amazed at the difference. At least my eyes will benefit!
I reckon I'll replace the iiyama sometime this year when funds allow.
Anyway, back to mining, as a side note (I've mentioned this before I think) I'm finding quite a few partially (and totally) undiscovered systems out here, and I'm only about 1000 - 1500 Ly's out from the bubble. Some quite interesting Systems, some quite large, I expect some Cmdr's just honked the Systems and carried on to greater goals, it just shows that there are still systems to be discovered relatively close in to the bubble.

Jack :)

It's always nice to find virgin systems near home. I did find quite a few around PRO EUQ (iirc) not sp long ago.

Post my shooting at statues from a little while ago, this is what you get when shooting fish in a barrel:

So I've unlocked Liz Ryder, and predictably lack mats to engineer any modules (lots of data, not so much raw/manufactured), not that she really offers anything I was after. I just don't usually unlock her at all.

I managed to knock the buy price on Silver in Eurybia down by about 5k with my tiny 14 ton hold, though with it being an Engineer system, I rather doubt i was the only one running Silver here ;)

I did rack up about 18 million more credits than I arrived with (about 3 million) - helped along by a bunch of courier missions, and a handfull of fetch missions that offered 2-5 million for commodities I could get within 1 or 2 jumps, in only 1-3 trips with my tiny cargo capacity. And given that even I can defeat the NPC Interdiction game 99% of the time, it seemed rude not to, even on the higher threat ones.

I also managed to get up to Merchant, Surveyor and Federal Recruit without really trying, so there's that, too.

So now I've hooned down to the Pleiades to off-load 10 tons of Duradrives (I had to reinstall the fuel scoop and extra fuel tankage for the trip), pick up some meta-alloys to go and unlock Farseer.

But first I'm going to summon my 'sploration Sidey, Calypso, and go scan some systems, map a few planets, sample some bio-signs, that sort of thing, before I head back to the bubble to unlock the Sirius Permit with the explo data I get.

And now, some pictures!

Hey buddy, there's a line!

As a bonus, Artemis Lodge is a 'Garden Station', so I could take some pics of the scenery inside:

There's some talk amongst Raxxla Hunters about how one or more of the Gardens might hold a clue...

Imma need more tin-foil... (tongue firmly in cheek, I love all that stuff!).

I am still here, near Colonia. I returned from a survey in the Zoyoo sector in the Hyeronimus Delta, as well as two consecutive trips to Trieneou AA-A h2, 3393 LY below the plane. This was done in a specially modified Anaconda with the double engineered Class 6 FSD.

This trip was previously possible only with a fleet carrier or with an extremely minmaxed Conda with the aid of a wing mate who acted as an auxiliary tanker, as done by CMDR jonburnage in 2018 (3305 in ED lore).

I made the trip solo, with no tanker wing mate and no reserve fuel tank.

Out of curiosity, what's the jump range on your Annie?

That sounds like something exclusive. I don't think I've ever seen one in person...
They were an exclusive reward for participating in a series of Community Goals to establish the Colonia Bridge stations.

Of course many of those who couldn’t or wouldn’t take part think that they* should be made available at the Tech Brokers like the size 5 one from an earlier different CG.

*There was IIRC a size 4 one as well.

Personally I hope FDev hold out and if they do make them available make it via a new and appropriate CG, if they did that I might try to get one that way.
