Hotel California, in any of it's incarnations, has never just been about PvP.
If I may "Open should be PvE only" would also fall under the Hotel California rule as well, correct?

That's how ideas are formed and suggested, though. People see things from one game they like, and go "If this game could do something similar, however this game allows it, it might make this game better". That's just being inspired by another game and there's nothing wrong with it at all.The worst thing to do on any game forum is to bring up another game and suggest game X should do stuff like game Y. This is not a criticism of you wanting a better PvP experience, but make your suggestion in line with how ED works, EVE uses an entirely different engine that supports features that may not even be possible in ED, and vice versa.

Isn't that Microsoft Excel with graphics?"Make it an Eve-alike"

What you say makes no sense at all.The worst thing to do on any game forum is to bring up another game and suggest game X should do stuff like game Y. People don't need to get salty over suggestions, simple as.Never said there was anything wrong with getting inspiration from other games, the issue arises when people start saying things like "EVE Online does it this way, so should ED" and etc. Put your ideas forward no problems, but that phrase smacks of trying to change the game to be like that other game and often gets replied with things like, "then why aren't you playing that other game that does it the way you like." So I am saying, sure draw inspiration, don't start down the path of "but X does it this way." Lots of salt generated over the years from a simple little statements like that and it's best left buried.
I am not against what moderation does.Really what was your intention then when you made complaints about moderation that didn't happen on this forum, and then post a quote of me taken out of the context of the thread it was in, purely to accuse the moderation team of being biased? I'm curious?
The people that post was aimed at know exactly who they are and what they were doingYou obviously didn't read the posts I'd deleted, you also obviously didn't read the last couple of pages to see how the conversation had deteriorated into people bickering about different playstyles. If you read the forum rules, you'll see that publicly discussing moderation actions is forbidden, you'll also see how to complain/appeal/contest them.
