PVP ACTIVITIES

The worst thing to do on any game forum is to bring up another game and suggest game X should do stuff like game Y. This is not a criticism of you wanting a better PvP experience, but make your suggestion in line with how ED works, EVE uses an entirely different engine that supports features that may not even be possible in ED, and vice versa.
That's how ideas are formed and suggested, though. People see things from one game they like, and go "If this game could do something similar, however this game allows it, it might make this game better". That's just being inspired by another game and there's nothing wrong with it at all.

If I may "Open should be PvE only" would also fall under the Hotel California rule as well, correct?

Been there, done that! :ROFLMAO:

Indeed!

We need an attack Corgi that does our bidding, just like the one in Arizona Sunshine 2...

Never said there was anything wrong with getting inspiration from other games, the issue arises when people start saying things like "EVE Online does it this way, so should ED" and etc. Put your ideas forward no problems, but that phrase smacks of trying to change the game to be like that other game and often gets replied with things like, "then why aren't you playing that other game that does it the way you like." So I am saying, sure draw inspiration, don't start down the path of "but X does it this way." Lots of salt generated over the years from a simple little statements like that and it's best left buried.

Mmmm I gotta stand down on this one. Can someone else please comment : )

Yeah it's the pilots that are "Dangerous" in the telling. Once you get to "Dangerous" you supposedly qualify for the more difficult missions in the game, it's like a specialist rank in the Pilots Federation where below that you were just another pilot in the Pilots Federation, once reaching that rank you were a special pilot that could be sent on dangerous endeavors like hunting down and killing pirate leaders etc. So you are the "Dangerous" one, not necessarily the galaxy, which can of course be dangerous in places, but these are easily avoided by an experienced pilot.

What you say makes no sense at all.
In all aspects of life we have always evolved by copying what others do well.
About what you say about the graphic engine, I guess you don't know how faction warfare works in Eve.

People don't need to get salty over suggestions, simple as.

Really what was your intention then when you made complaints about moderation that didn't happen on this forum, and then post a quote of me taken out of the context of the thread it was in, purely to accuse the moderation team of being biased? I'm curious?

The people that post was aimed at know exactly who they are and what they were doing :) You obviously didn't read the posts I'd deleted, you also obviously didn't read the last couple of pages to see how the conversation had deteriorated into people bickering about different playstyles. If you read the forum rules, you'll see that publicly discussing moderation actions is forbidden, you'll also see how to complain/appeal/contest them.

Hotel California, in any of it's incarnations, has never just been about PvP.

I am not against what moderation does.
If I go into a thread and read a moderator saying not to talk about PvP in that thread, I respect his decision and that's why I opened another thread to talk about PvP.
I simply posted the screenshot to reply to the fellow.

And you are totally wrong to evaluate feedback by what is said in the forums.
The regulars around here do not represent the opinion of the majority of players.
Then it happens like with the last dlc, you spend years working for what people don't really want and you fail in sales.
So you have mediocre numbers when you have the best space simulator on your hands.
You still have time to make a comeback but I see you don't know what people want.

This can simply be tested by doing calculations.
most of the players do not enter the forum.
So, you actually are unable to prove a statement presented as fact - basically, just expressing an opinion.
If the devs were getting proper feedback on what the players want, the game would not have the numbers it currently has.
From which players? Even with the miniscule representation of the entire playerbase present on the forum, the opinions on what players want is varied and interesting.

For gamers who want to play space simulation games.
It is not difficult to understand.
Do you think it's normal that a game of the quality of Elite Dangerous currently has an average of 3000 players?
The devs must be doing something wrong.
