This being our only additional SA primate over a much more highly requested spider monkey, howler monkey, squirrel monkey, or tamarin feels like such a Frontier move but I wouldn't necessarily hate it

Somehow I've come to prefer them. Spider monkeys are by far the best, but hard to implement so I consider them unlikely. Tamarins and marmosets are very tiny which makes them less likely. Meanwhile, howlers aren't that common in captivity for as far as I know (correct me if I'm wrong). Squirrel monkeys are cool and common, but not as unique looking and we already have the capuchin as a more generic monkey.
Not as common as the other SA "usual suspects", but still common (not to mention iconic!) enough that I doubt anyone would bat an eye in the same way they would for, say, the bald uakari or a woolly monkey. Also keep in mind this is just a single species of howler that I checked because it's the most common one in the US, maybe there's some other species or subspecies more commonly found elsewhere that would help bump it up.
tbh I've also grown super fond of Bolivian gray titis lately and would adore getting them. And that's the problem with the monkeys, I think - I'd be equally overjoyed to get any of about half a dozen of SA species alone, there's no clear winner, there's nothing to rally behind.
Yeah same. Petting zoo scenery always felt very weird to me. On the one hand a horizontal wood set is kinda redundant, but you just gotta have haybales and that sort of stuff to actually build a petting zoo area
After reading more comments now I'm second guessing myself, dead serious do we really think there is one more pack?

I’d say one more. This doesn’t feel like the final pack, but it does feel like a penultimate one. Petting zoos were a highly requested feature, so it being implemented just before end of life was imminent. But I don’t think Frontier would end support with a bunch of domestic animals when the whole time the focus has been on wild animals. I think one more pack, maybe sooner than expected, and we’re done
I'm leaning onto more dlc, we've been doing this for 3 years now.

I agree, I think while they knew people wanted petting zoos they also knew not everyone would like them. However because such a big chunk of the community begged for them they were gonna happen at some point. I really want to think there will be one more, I just don't know for sure though.
I'm actually convinced now that there will at least be one more pack. Hoping for two more so we can fit america's pack & global pack 
2-3 more packs would be my guess. Celebrating 5th year anniversary plus taking advantage of Christmas time does Not Sound unreasonable in my opinion.
Its intriguing and honestly im all for it if they can figure out how to insert exhibit animal I am happy to have this be the default. We are reaching the point where we dont need scenery in bulk more pieces are always welcome but we dont need multiple complete wall sets in each pack anymore we just need bits and peices.

Alright, I have some questions stemming from the release date of the Barnyard Pack. Do you think a summer DLC will be released in June as it has always happened? Was this just an exception due to the release of the console game? Is Frontier coming back to regular schedule?
Or will the new pack be pushed forward one month to July? It feels like a worse month for releasing a videogame. But just two months between DLCs feel like rushing it too much, I don't think Frontier could make a good pack so quickly with the current staff situation.
IF we had some more packs in the future, it may mean a change for a 4 month distance between DLCs? End of April, End of August, End of December. They would have more time to prepare the DLC while still being a regular schedule.

We already had a time space in only two months between NA animal Pack and Europe Pack in 2021. And to delay the Release because it does not collidate with the Console Release does Not mean that they were regularly working on the next DLC. And If there will be a DLC you can be Sure that Work already began a time ago.
If there is another pack I think it would come sooner than later, June most likely. And thats not wishful thinking, I think they know people won't be satisfied with the Barnyard pack and want to get peoples attention back fast with a batch of regular exotic animals - and what better batch than from the continent whos at the back of the pack, Central America (god I hope so)
