There were still some i kinda wanted, but the absolute flood of them that came over us in the last year of DLC kinda just made me sick of them.

At this point its kinda hillarious how i said a couple days ago im kinda fed up with them and only wanted a very select few and promptly got another batch of 6 coming my way, more than ever before lol.
Maybe i should stop asking for monkeys and ask for more hoofstock since Frontier is kinda doing the exact opposite of what i request :unsure: 😂

I really Hope Frontier does not listen to you 😉. I could list at least one whole animals Pack of ungulates I still really want within the Game. And some of them are above every monkey or birds I would Like to See. But everyone with his own opinion. I will defend the inclusion of more ungulates until the very end 💪

Why can't y'all just wish for a gray fox so that my one dream can come true for Planet Zoo?

The Gray Fox is even a more interesting "Fox" as it is indeed not a fox. It even is less related to the Classic foxes than the Dog species Like Wolves or Dholes and so on. But for now systematic mode over again. I would have nothing against its integration but it is honestly Not high on my wishlist

They have a captive audience for a year, so if they're making stuff next financial year, it might make sense to keep going till December.

Assuming 1 DLC vs. assuming 3 DLCs, what do you think could be on the table?


The nature of the Barnyard pack screams made for console, yet it's delayed, I guess we might find out by how much on Wednesday.

The way I see it there are 3 possibilities:
  1. Another DLC
  2. Another DLC
  3. Another DLC

Yeah they the best, had one as a pet for a way to short amount of time, hopefully get one again this summer. But not really anything fit for Pz since they are way to small to be habitat animals and way to active to be exhibit ones

So, the million dollar question: are we even getting a summer 2024 DLC? I have to hope so, because if support ends with the Barnyard Animal Pack, I'm gonna be pretty disappointed. Not that I'm not happy for those of you who wanted it, but Frontier, maybe don't end support on a pack that's quite so divisive in this community? Maybe the last pack will be something like a South America Animal Pack, now that would be a high note to end support on.

I really don't know what to think on this one TBH. The DLC seems bigger at a glance but when you think about the usual number of scenery items (200+) versus animals (5 in a scenery pack versus 8 in an animal pack)... This feels more like a hybrid of animal/scenery pack than an actually "bigger" pack. And the price itself backs this.

The theme itself feels more like they wanted an excuse to get the "petting zoo" feature in the game, built the pack around that, but couldn't justify 200+ scenery pieces (which I'd tend to agree with given the theme and what's already in-game). Either that or they just weren't sure what to do as far as scenery is concerned and went with something general (but still targeted) which... I'd also agree with. The world is full of various regional architecture, but if I'm being honest? We have plenty in-game already such that most that you'd see in a zoo could be re-created, anyway.

I'm actually really into the DLC as well as the update features that we know about. But still, it doesn't feel like the "final send-off" we were all expecting based on past Frontier games. It's not bigger, it's just different. And none of the animals were highly requested (relatively speaking)... But the feature in the free update feels like one of the last remaining major features we might reasonably get.

So, I don't really know. I definitely still see a scenario where there's one more remaining pack with a more "global" focus and animals that are truly highly requested. Or this could be it and instead of debating over what wish list animals to give us they went with a theme centered on a feature they felt people could agree on. It's a coin toss as far as I'm concerned... For now, anyway.

Probably nothing but, if we get anything then the speculation thread for spring covers everything, though the barnyard pack lowers my expectations of anything I actually want.

It would be much easier for you all to accept the fact that ungulates would always be an important part of Frontier’s DLC strategy. Then you would not be so disappointed with every next pack that will come out.
