Another long elaboration:
Here is the image I found on X and saved as a reference. It was taken from a video by
ProC. The image is a set of several McDonalds toys for the new show. Among the dinosaurs are
Parasaurolophus,
Nasutoceratops, and
Pachyrhinosaurus. Since they all have CGI-looking models, and the
Pachyrhino looks just like the Mattel toy in terms of head shape, it gave me a good indicator that these are actual models that'll be used in the show.
Now, with the new trailer out, I can confirm that I was right for the
Pachyrhinosaurus, and undoubtedly the others.
Recently, I've found the other CT toys I came across shared on YouTube. They show,
Ankylosaurus,
Pteranodon, and
Dimorphodon. So, three more dinos. Some say that's
Bumpy because of the coloring and the supposed small spike on the back left side of the head, even though the card doesn't say so
(unless it mentions her on it somewhere within the blurred quality of the image, or it just doesn’t even when it’s supposed to be her), but I guess it's safe to assume she's returning too. But how exactly they'll do that, since
Bumpy was left on the now former Mantah Corp owned island, I don't know. But I think
maybe Big Eatie was in the trailer too...
As for the mini toys I shared in the video earlier today, I must correct myself and everyone reading this that they are
not Mattel toys, but
Captivz toys. And because of this, I've gotten a few questions I have settled than before, earlier this morning for me.
Through my research,
Captivz's mini toys are not
too much like the main toylines where they include dinosaurs not featured in the films they directly market. Instead, when they do market a specific media like
Dominion or
Camp Cretaceous, all of their dinosaur species and characters are those that do appear in whatever respective show they're marketing and themed on, with the chance of some exceptions from what I can tell. The
Dominion line includes
Spinosaurus, even though there aren't any in that movie.
I do, however, caution whether it's like what I said about exceptions, or if it has expanded to include more, thus breaking the usual way of adding dinosaurs and designs. In this case,
Giganotosaurus and the
Pachyrhinosaurus that clearly doesn't have the show's head design. The latter case may be just an artistic design choice, as with the colors of
Tiger seen in the same video whose green instead of orange like their artwork card and elsewhere in the franchise.
Pictures I captured and cropped from the video:
(I guess the same can be said for Ceratosaurus
and Parasaurolophus Lux
, because we don't know about those yet, definitively.)
Now, before anyone can get started on the artwork, this is what
Chris from
Jurassic Outpost, who is also a marketing associate for Jurassic such as for the first three seasons of
Beyond the Gates, said in a comment in that same video, pinned by the uploader:
"For those here wondering about the Captivz JWCT art: I collaborated with the incredible artist Jaroslav Kosmina on these cards. We basically knew nothing about the show outside of dino designs and made up 99% of the scenarios, so don't expect them to be scenes in JWCT. Glad people like em!"
Lastly, when it comes to wondering how many dinosaur species will be included in the new TV series overall.
Scott Kreamer, the showrunner for both CC and CT, said in interviews for the former show, that he wanted to add other species that didn't actually appear in that show, but they couldn't do it because of insufficient given resources. The previous series had only 24 dinosaur species total from
Season One to
Hidden Adventure, not including the
Lux Paras because they're just
Parasaurolophus with the bioluminescent gene. So, who knows how many
Chaos Theory will have at the end of the day? Much more than
Camp Cretaceous? I don't know, so I can't say much more on that.
And that's my long elaboration.
By the way, this is the fully revealed
Becklespinax toy I mentioned earlier today:
