The Type-8

If it transforms into a robot, I'll throw Arx at them.
Depends what robot though....

I mean....what if its Metal Mickey?

As already mentioned, if it's a freighter it has to beat the Python for cargo capacity, otherwise it's... not a freighter.
I don't know if it's what Fdev is going for, but I kind of got the impression from the Python MkII that the reinforcements required to withstand SCO are away from internal space, which is why it has so little of it. If that's the idea, then the Type-8 might also have less internal space than similar-sized older ships. Thus it would kind of be a trade between SCO stability and cargo space.

Maybe I'm completely wrong and it will have an amazing amount of module space for its size, or alternatively it will have something else that more than compensates for being smaller than the Python.

And if it does have the internals to do that, it could be OP for some other roles like passenger carrying.
Depends on the slot sizes perhaps it will have sizes 8, 5, 3, 2 and 1

I doubt too many people would buy it with such a terrible loadout, and that’s not what they want, especially if they want people to spend money for early access.

The internals should be flexible so people can buy these ships for a variety of rolls, not just force them into one specific role.

Since it’s a hauler it should also have the internals to configure it as a miner, or passenger, or other similar roles. Why would they want to limit potential buyers?

My impression has been that the PyMK2 has such limited internals because it is a very combat-focused ship in the vein of the Fer-de-Lance. I'm not expecting the T8's internals to turn out like that, but I might be surprised.

I can allow that it will only have two slots of class 3 weapons (for peacekeeper) - color green.
But I don't believe that he will have 8 slots for shield reinforcement. I thought there would only be 6 - color red.

I always though those spinny things were maneuvering thrusters.
I understand, especially since the mounting points for the shield stiffeners are square, not round.
But why such maneuverability for a cargo ship? Yes, I guess we will have a full analog of the Clipper (even a class 7 slot) for the middle platform.

6 utility slots is reasonable, as this is a Medium ship and not a Large one.

At this point I would be stunned if one of the 4 is not a new Cobra. I mean it's the poster child of the franchise after all and it would likely help heal the wound so may seem to feel with not being able to get at the IV.

I'm probably wrong, but my hunch is the last two ships will be an Imperial and Federal ship. Four ships for four factions. DeLacy is independent of course, so is Lakon although they are the closest thing the Alliance has to an official ship manufacturer, and that leaves the Imps and Feds. The Imps need a medium sized ship, but the Feds have a better selection so it's less clear what could be done there. My reasoning (hope?) for this is FD giving something to players of each faction, plus it's the year of the Powerplay revamp.

I don't think so. As it would limit their purchase for arxs.
