Initially with a Sidewinder, but later Python II, with a few refuel ships positioned along the route …and plenty of heat sinks.
That's quite some time.
Mine looks like this: 1 month 8 days 13 hours 39 minutes. But this is just the time I've been playing the "Live" game, there is some time missing from my time in the museum.

Is there a usual fix for these sorts of things, like uninstalling and/or reinstalling?
Not that I'm aware of although a reinstall may well be the answer.
I found a fix to one of the errors Observatory threw up before, namely deleting an mp3 file with a size of zero bytes. That didn't work this time though.

I’m 3 months 7 days 5 hours 47 minutes into the game after 6 years. My job keeps me from losing myself in the game as I only have time to play a weekend every 4-6 weeks apart.

I'm in the outer Oreo conflux or something. But I think I will turn around and pass back through Izanami towards home. However, Izanami was a dangerous land for lookee-loos, a land of many nebulae. And bark mounds. Bark, bark!
