Looking at the Spire drive for Col 285 Sector PB-E b12-3 yesterday, I am not at all sure how Spire progress works now. It was just over 5% initially, close to 15% in the hour before leaving, 17% in the morning, and now almost 20%—yet I see not much movement for the farthest ten M. Thor Control systems.
Definitely there is individual effort at HIP 18702, but I am interested much more in some of the others:
That did not quite clarify exactly how 100% at the Spire translates to 85% elsewhere, but to list a few possibilities:
A possible explanation is that the Spire progress takes more time to appear, although I think overnight should suffice!
Definitely there is individual effort at HIP 18702, but I am interested much more in some of the others:
- Synuefe OU-D b45-0 is the tenth-farthest with only ~2%.
- Col 285 Sector SI-T d3-89 and HIP 19501 have ~8%, but have only gained ~2% since ending the previous week with a carried ~6%.
Additionally, we have a clarification to this point from the 18.06 update notes:
This means that no matter which activity is undertaken within a spire system, by the time the spire system has hit 100%, spread pushback to the equivalent of 85% of 10 systems will have occurred – there is no ‘completion bonus’.
- Fully taking a spire system will always result in spread pushback to the equivalent of 85% of 10 systems
That did not quite clarify exactly how 100% at the Spire translates to 85% elsewhere, but to list a few possibilities:
- The first 85% of the Spire drives progress, then the final 15% is just to clear the Spire system.
- The Spire drives progress proportionally, driving progress at 85% of its own progress rate.
- The last 85% of the Spire drives progress, with the initial 15% required to get it started.
A possible explanation is that the Spire progress takes more time to appear, although I think overnight should suffice!
