She's a beauty! (New ship revealed--Mandalay)

Indeed. It was just a visual illusion that it might not fit. I tried superimposing it rotated, and it would indeed fit very comfortably.

This forum thread is very strange. A couple pages ago a person asked about 90 degree turn.
I remembered that it was shown on page 10 and gave the answer that it was already there. And then the same picture appears and people put likes.
Don't people read the forum? Or is it more interesting to discuss the same thing?
I don't understand :(

We can only guess at the size of the cabin. I'm interested in that picture, the initial one, where the view of Hangar 7.
If the cockpit is the same size as Mamba's, will it be the same size as the man fixing the nozzle?
Maybe the cabin is bigger and the wings fold down ?

Ok, Now I don't know where I did a mistake. I think I need to be more careful to perspective.

Official dimensions:
Mamba - 72 m
Type-7 - 99 m

I ran your pic through some filters to highlight the Mamba more clearly.

A lot of forum users tend to skip a lot of pages in threads with lot of pages, neither all of them follows every post and page (such as this one, 27 pages already), and obviously it can cause for discussions might be repeat independly.

You can't tell from the photo of the pad what goes down the elevator shaft. But I think the boundaries beyond which you can't go are marked with a dotted line.
Not lights and exactly a dotted line with corners.

The more I follow this discussion, the more I'm tempted to get the Mandalay even though the T8 is higher on my priority list right now specially with PP 2.0 coming soon 😁

When you have the opportunity to buy Mandalay, it will be possible to take T8 for credits.

T-8 for ARX after 3 months as Python Mk 2, so one month after Mandalay relase. I don't see any reason to make this early acces time shorter, even if it would be convinient for me :D

To look cooler :D
We also have a yellow line on the platform that you can't go beyond to avoid being hit by a train.
But the size of the train is much smaller than this line.
Look at the T8, if the yellow line was the edge you wouldn't have to fold the nozzles.

Incidentally, someone already wrote a ballad for the Mandalay:

FD better not disappoint on this one 😬

I just answered to the question where is the end of the pad...
Who said that folding nozzles are because of the size of the pad?

I.e. with wings it won't fit, and if they fold down (long legs), it's likely the ship is larger than in the Mamba images.
In that case it could have 6 FSDs and 350 tons of weight.

Slightly more confused now....

I jumped into my Mamba and returned to the surface on my Carrier, went into freecam mode and moved to 500m away. From the image below the Mamba measures 386px x 250px - which results in a 5px = 1m scale. Measuring the bit of the pad that moves, that suggests that a medium pad is 120m x 72m (or 80% of the size I thought it was)...

And even more confusing things.

But I started new thread for that.
Probably there is just a typo in dimensions and should be 92 meters long for mamba, not 72. (If you check, well-known blueprints, there is 79 meters...)
I treat new ships like more accurate with dimensions, because they are made AFTER oddysey, and Ody needs better realistic scale.
It looks like it need totally new thread. I am relly interested with more comparision, with more ships. (For an example if cabin of Python and Python Mk II are exactly the same size. (We checked with friendst T-8 and T-7 and there cabins are the same size, exactly).

I missed that post.
Dimensions from the top and ship volume are two differnt things. This big "belly" looks like Mandalay has twice more space than mamba for optionals. And if we use cargo as a volume meter. Mamba has like 66, and Phantom - 190.... so we have a lot of possibilities for an M-pad.
