DLC18 discussion and predictions

I'm surprised that after +4 years of content and free gifts people still gripe and complain instead of being satisfied that the game lasted this long in the 1st place.
So what if an animal isn't the best choice? What about the +25 other animals you can use? I understand being disappointed, but still, it's a free gift and an animal that I would see on many wishlists (in the case of leopard). Be glad we didn't get some weird obscure thing nobody has heard of or something like a black rat
hold on Quell you’re cooking with the black rat 🔥🔥🔥

Counter arguments:
Why should anyone hype up whats basicly a shaggy old goat?
Why should anyone hype up whats basicly a chunky grey housecat?
Why should anyone hype up whats basicly a grey mandrill with a tail?

Alpine marmot was always among my most wanted animals for a mountain pack, small animals are criminally underrepresented
Exactly.
This is quite possibly the worst pack already (in my opinion) so wasting another slot on what is basically a backyard pest can only make it worse... Especially considering how it's an animal we already have although in a very slightly different colour

Why does everyone want the European marmot all of a sudden?
I'm genuinely asking cause I really don't see the reason why we should hype up what is basically a fat grey prairie dog
I see many good reasons for adding marmots. It could have an interspecies bonus with the ibex. Building combined exhibits for mountain animals would bring something new to the game. Also marmots are so cute, and they scream 😆

You're taking it personal and missing the point that other people wanted it. It's way easier to just be satisfied for others happiness than to act like you were attacked by a videogame company
Im not taking it personal, im just voicing my honest oppinion that this is a slap in the face.
Also the most excited anyone was was something saying "im actually okay with the leopard" so what happyness are we talking about?
Literally no one here showed any excitement towards it, only indifference or dissapointment

For me the best case scenario would be:
1. Hamadryas Baboon
2. Pallas Cat
3. Markhor
4. Himalayan Monal
5. Spectacled Bear
6. Rhea (Would prefer Greater although I am not sure how much of a mountains animal it is)
7. Rock Hyrax/Golden Snub Nosed Monkey
+Scenery

Can someone point out this supposed Tibetan antelope
There's three ungulates in the background. The one closest to us is obviously a markhor. The second one, which tbh looks a lot like the Alpine goat, is probably a female markhor. It's the third, furthest back one that is distorted enough to not be able to say for sure if it's another markhor. Those horns look a lot straighter.

Kind of hoping for a Chilean flamingo, I know people aren’t happy with clones. But if we get a leopard in a free update I desperately need a bird in this dlc.

This pack is the best hope for the Chinese Community to be represented, its already looking good with Palla's and Markhor. I feel like a Monal and GSNM is needed for this to be the best pack Imo for me.

Regardless of if I get any personal favorites or not (or more than one bird, I’m begging) I just hope we get some more diversity this time around. It’s actually kind of sad that we’ve had 3 animal packs in a row with a whole scenery packs worth of ungulates at the minimum and only one habitat slot each for something that isn’t a carnivoran or ungulate. I just want a pack to break the curse and go back to the days of Grasslands and Wetlands.

Hopefully just the blurr, no need for another one, even if my first instinct was chamois
Also it be weird to hide a random ungulate in the back like that

Does anyone have any images from the stream/ was there a trailer?
They only showed an in game screenshot of the african leopard and the pack title image which had pallas cat as the headline with hamadrayas baboon and what I assume is the makhor in the background. You didn't miss anything crazy. They'll probably forum post it in a week or two since they said the anniversary content is coming out early alongside the pack.
