DLC18 discussion and predictions

I will throw my best case highlands roster out into the wind:
  1. Pallas's cat
  2. Hamadryas baboon
  3. Markhor
  4. Spectacled bear
  5. Rock hyrax
  6. Matschie's tree kangarro
  7. Golden pheasant
Actually a fantastic looking roster, so I'm expecting to see some nonsense like the chiru, Persian leopard, GSNM, Indochinese leopard...

I'm glad for a Tropical counterpart to Amur Leopard. Sad, for those that didn't want it... I'm happy though, that we could have a cold-weather and hot-weather Leopard.

So 2 cats, 1 monkey and 1 ungulate so far and I'm already seeing complaints about too many ungulates? 🤣🤣

Why does everyone want the European marmot all of a sudden?
I'm genuinely asking cause I really don't see the reason why we should hype up what is basically a fat grey prairie dog
I've been asking for the marmot for ages. My former local zoo had them and I always enjoyed seeing them.

GSNM is not non-sense, its a perfect animal for this pack.

You're being way too salty about this
Focusing on the thing i find frustrating each reveal kind of became my speciality, im perfectly happy for anyone that actually likes the leopard but i wont just listen to how i should just shut up, enjoy and be thankfull to frontier when a FREE new animal somehow generated negative hype.

Homey 3 people really do not compare to the literal explosion of joy and excitement of the peccary last year, and thats really all youd need to know about if this gift was good or not
A lot of get a bit too wrapped up in the Forums. We forget that the vast majority of players aren't on here, so our opinions on what is well received can be skewed. African Leopard is a well-known and popular animal that is also a big cat. Those things combined make it a very popular choice for a majority of players.
And even with that, I don't remember an "explosion of joy" for the peccary. I saw a lot of people excited, and a lot of people either bummed or with a "meh" response.

At this point I hope for something like:

Pallas' Cat
Markhor
Hamadryas Baboon
Spectacled Bear
Alpine Marmot
Domestic Yak
Barbary Sheep

Just to have something to be mad at.

This is a Chinese/Tibetan themed pack, there's no way GSNM should be excluded especially how high it's seen in the Chinese Wishlist.

Me personally, im hoping for Himalayan Monal, Yak and GSNM.

Pls tell me how the casuals on reddits are screaming of joy seeing they got a big cat with leopard spots three times

We don't know that, 1/3 animals the Baboon is not Himalayan, it took us 1000 days to get a monkey I doubt we will get 2 in 1 pack, plus the pack being just Himalayan would be a bit of a bummer when we have a chance to get a sliver of south american rep

1 cat is free, the other is paid dlc. Ungulates come in every pack, you had 4 in the last pack alone. There's a sheer discrepency especially when compared to habitat birds and reptiles. I don't wanna hear it lol.

Tree Kangaroo, Dik-Dik, Echidna, Walrus, Spurred Tortoise, Secretary Bird, Southern Ground Hornbill, Coati, and the list goes on.
Basically anything but the same things we already have with a new coat of paint
If the marmot is just a beaver-tail than how is the coati not just a raccoon with a long nose, the walrus not just a obese sea lion cosplaying as a vampire, dik dik not just spring bok but tiny?
