DLC18 discussion and predictions

Another nice addition to add before the end would be just a bunch of random plants, especially tropical plants exclusive to one or two continents, because how many times have you reused the same darn plants for a tropical section and they all end up looking pretty samey?
Same but with tempetate plants. I was disappointed we didn't get more foliage with Eurasia or Barnyard. I need orchard trees and flowering bushes.

I'd also love some more shops, especially healthier food shops. I'd like a salad bar, sushi counter and noodle/sandwich shop. I think drinks and gifts are fine as they are actually. I just hate serving beef burgers next to my bovines 😂

I have 1 request: Morning Glories. They are very special to me and I'd love to have them in-game

I want more fake branches, vines, tree limbs, etc.

Also, must I mention more educational stuff? I haven’t uploaded in my thread in awhile, but I really can’t just explain how much some more educational tools can go to fills walls, habitats, etc.

I'd rather not; big zoos usually have an aquarium section, the largest aquarium in Europe (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L'Oceanogràfic) has aviaries and land animals... no need to make entire separate games for that.
I want a seperate game because I want a dedicated aquarium roster and mechanics, dlc development teams would never cut it. With that said, I want it to "connect" to PZ2 so that if you own both you could play with the entire roster. Did any game ever do that?

Didn't Lego Star Wars 1 and Lego Star Wars 2 have a feature where if you own the previous game you can use the entire roster from both? Of course, Complete Saga was released in 2007, and it just combined the 2 anyways

I can't keep up with the pages, and I'm feeling a bit sick so forgive me if this hasn't been said already (and i'm sure it has)
Thoughts on announcements:

Scenario 1 (12/13 zoo keepers final pack - 4 of 5 of these themes:Highlands, Latin America, African Safari, Birds, Tundra) :
Another set of 3 animal teases Thursday or Friday -
Another set of 3 animal teases next week
A final set of 3 animal teases the week of the 14th-18th with an official reveal announcement/trailer on either that Thursday or Friday.
Animal posts on social the 18th-28th
Release on Oct. 29th.

Scenario 2 (Highlands pack, not the final pack, just 7 or 8 animals)
Announcement on either this Thursday/Friday or Monday /Tuesday with official trailer.
Animal posts on social media through October 14th.
Release on October 15th.

Either way, I definitely do not see this coming on October 8th. I wouldn't mind but it seems too close for what we have now.
I suppose a release on the 22nd is also possible but I'm kind of feeling like it will be either the 15th or 29th.

Totally. I just want variety. Heck, bring us the Tiki Chikki from PlanCo. I'd love to serve more ethnic foods, like churros and bratwurst. Give us sushi and salad and soups. It's not unrealistic

Might feel odd, but how would taxidermied animals be? I mean, it's educational. I've seen animals in jars at zoos

I fully agree, personally I yearn for the days where we got massive expansion packs like in ZT2. Idealism should be the normative! It's just not what makes companies money unfortunately...
The Jurassic franchise as a whole has issues treating the animals as animals, and with proper zookeeping and animal husbandry, so the dinosaurs aren't really given many chances to do stuff.

Visitor killing animations are not that entertaining, no enrichment or shelter is off, the feeding mechanics are an unrealistic headache...

EDIT: Idealistic fans makes it so companies have to put out better products to have good reception, and thus better profits. The lack of idealism ends up making it easier to have said good reception.
There's another aspect to it, that the video game market is oversaturated. There is less money to go around between the various producers, so less money fpr development, so more competition.

Just in Frontier you can see PZ losing staff due to the financial downturn of other Frontier products.

This would be awesome. In particular, I would REALLY love faux-mangrove trees so that we could develop roots that animals could actually run between, etc.

More variety in food selection would be amazing! One thing I noticed in a PC2 screenshot is that it appears that you can now edit the names of products (in the food shops, at least) because there's that little pencil icon next to them. It's not perfect but... It would be a way to develop custom shops with the right signage, etc.

As for taxidermied animals? I go back and forth on that. A select group of skeletons, jarred specimens, etc. would be welcome for educational purposes but I feel like whatever they give us for "taxidermy" would feel a bit limited. What's cool is that with something like a skeleton, if we ever got scaling, they could give us something like 10-20 different pieces and you could create quite a lot with them!

Maybe we get skeletons in sections so we can pose them how we want? Like if we got a crocodile skull we get the upper jaw and lower jaw, then we can open and close the mouth as we please. Or we get a big cat skeleton in a number of pieces, so we can pose it how we want.

Top 5 most wanted plants:

Weeping conifer, Coffee, Horsetail, Strawberry, Orchard Tree
I'd also love if there was more flexicolor options in a few plants... That would kind of inflate the diversity of plants IMO.
Speaking of flexicolor, the only way I'd want taxidermy is if it was of most animals in game and it was flexicolor. Then, I'd use it for implied habitats...
Another thing I hope could be flexicolor: the Rewards statues!
