My favorites are when people make wishlists and include animals that are already in the game. Saw a wishlist for the Sloth Bear last week, which we’ve had for almost a year at this point lol
I mean it's not like the forums is much better on this matter, like that one guy who request the Asian elephant on the meta wishlist.

Edit: this might be the worst timing that i've ever done in this forums.

I have also created the foliage meta-wishlist, a much easier way to see the communities favourite foliage additions. I understood that highly requested foliage was being buried in the middle of the wishlist and few people knew they could vote for new trees or plants.

I had mentioned a couple of things about foliage and rocks, but I didn't include any special request of new plants, so I am adding those now. For making it easy for you, this is what I had already voted for:

-California palm tree and taller date palm trees (the ones we have are extremely short, their leaves almost touch the ground)
-Return of all the foliage from PZ1 (over 200 different types)
-Return of all rocks from PZ1
-New Mediterranean limestone rocks

And these are my new folige requests:
  1. Silver birch (also known as European white birch)
  2. Traveller's tree
  3. Pampas grass
  4. Norfolk island pine
  5. Orange tree
  6. Holm oak
  7. Australian banyan
  8. Mediterranean dwarf palm
  9. Stone pine
  10. Kelp
  11. Asian rice
  12. Dandelion
  13. Lavender
  14. Cacao tree
  15. Red maple
  16. American sycamore
  17. Almond tree
  18. Bush rose
  19. Norwegian spruce
  20. Blue jacaranda
  21. Rubber tree
  22. Blue gum eucalyptus tree
  23. European larch tree
  24. Indian Almond Tree
  25. A Leafless Baobab Tree
  26. Juniper
  27. Lemon tree

Better model: take a page from Warhammer games. They way they work is that DLC purchased for the older game can be registered to work for newer games. To give a PZ example, players who already bought the Australia Pack for PZ1 would be able to use the building pieces and the 5 animals from that DLC pack in PZ2 without any extra costs. This is a very pro-consumer strategy and I strongly hope that Frontier looks into this model for PZ2 - added October 23rd
Have guests ragdoll away when an dangerous animal runs into them after an escape, akin to what happens in Planet Coaster - added October 30th
Most recent updates to my post

So, besides all the mechanics we already have:
1.More than 1 Enclosure entrance
2.Ability to open or close certain enclosure parts by closing doors for animals between them
3.Aviaries,
would be great to custom build them, just like we can build custom pools in PC2, but everything is great, as long as we can set the walls and ceiling invisible.
4. More exhibit sizes, That's the biggest problem I got with current exhibit. 4x4x4m box is just too big for insects or tree frogs.
5. Aquariums, I think we should be able to make them just like pools in PC2, but a few pre-made would be also nice for housing smaller amount of fishes.
6. Climbing system overhaul
7.Lighting overhaul,
right now you won't get the nighthouse effect during the day, until you won't build it underground.
8. Ability to copy and rotate every type of object, as we know, we currently can't copy and rotate certain objects-4m walls, ceilings or slopes.
9.Mole rat, i think this can be counted as a mechanic, since they would require a completely different type of exhibit. Thin but wide, where we could see their tunnels.
10.Custom aviary/aquarium walkthrough path (underwater tunnel in case of aquarium)
11. Access to all types of terrain, regardless of the biome we use

We are stuck with shietyy paths forever🗿
My reaction basically of the news today:

Turns out, I did make a foliage wish-list at one point, here it is with some minor updates:
  1. Khejri Tree (Prosopis cineraria)
  2. Australian Grass Tree (Xanthorrhoea australis)
  3. Evergreen Oak (Quercus ilex)
  4. Pacific Dogwood (Cornus nuttallii)
  5. Norfolk Pine (Araucaria heterophylla)
  6. Elephant Ear Tree (Enterolobium cyclocarpum)
  7. Tamarack (Larix laricina)
  8. Common Durian Tree (Durio zibethinus)
  9. Ulmo Tree (Eucryphia cordifolia)
  10. Marsh Horsetail (Equisetum palustre)
  11. King Sago Cycad (Cycas revoluta)
  12. Boxelder Maple (Acer negundo)
  13. St. Thomas Tree (Bauhinia tomentosa)
  14. Shepherd's Tree (Boscia albitrunca)
  15. Sydney Blue Gum (Eucalyptus saligna)
  16. Green Pitcher Plant (Sarracenia oreophila)
  17. Prairie Junegrass (Koeleria macrantha)
  18. Candle Larkspur (Delphinium elatum)
  19. Lily of the Valley (Convallaria majalis)
  20. Golden Speargrass (Aciphylla aurea)
  21. Mexican Yew (Taxus globosa)
  22. Chilean Mesquite (Prosopis chilensis)
  23. Western Juniper (Juniperus occidentalis)
  24. Tussac Grass (Poa flabellata)
  25. African Clubmoss (Selaginella kraussiana)
There is one other thing I'd like to add here:
Hybridisation - 2 different species being able to produce a hybrid offspring if both their welfare needs are satisfied (and have produced hybrids together in real life). The hybrids will yield a lot of popularity, but also cannot breed; will be far more prone to illnesses; attract protesters; mark down your zoo for poor conservation practices during inspections; and cannot be released into the wild (and are instead sold like domesticated species) - added October 21st
I had added this to my post some time ago, not sure if it was documented or not.

I see you've included large amount of species from ZT series; I like that 😎

Is that why the foliage meta wishlist was full of the same species? I was wondering was there was such a heavy bias to certain regions of the world while others were completely ignored.
Maybe? But on the wishlist you don't hit a Zoo Tycoon plant until the blue gum tree. Also, we've had quaking aspens since launch, just FYI
