I’ve generally accepted, as they are typically from players who I’ve encountered in PVE situations, playing for the same cause, friends of team mates etc… this one was a bit of a surprise, as I hadn’t been able to log in for a couple of days due to PC troubles, and was greeted by the request when I managed to get everything up and running yesterday.

You could look in on the Inara website under 'Commanders', this commander is shown on there with their 'stats'....but you would have to make up your own judgement as to whether their playstyle suits yours. ;)

…hadn’t thought to search INARA tbh - so i did, and the words “hardcore / Open / PVP / Terrorist / Outlaw” flashed before my eyes…

Incoming Stargoids were detectable on the FSS from quite some distance iirc... i think if you were closer to Sol, then you might see the "red glow" that's been described?

...on the other hand, i'd be very surprised to pick up anything from where i am, 22000.47LY away ;]

Once again got fed up of C&P.

My weekly powerplay involves nabbing a few items from settlements. Dropped into one, found two powerplay crates; both empty. This was after running back to my ship to get e-breeches. Didn't touch anything else. Did have to get into a restricted area, got spotted, got a small fine, got shot unconscious and sent back to my ship in orbit. At least this saved me having to launch manually and cost nothing.

Naturally I couldn't just pay the fine at the nearby station because "no fines detected" either from my ship, or from a concourse terminal. Eventually managed at interstellar factors in a nearby system. I don't understand why you can't pay the fine (or hand yourself in), with zero notoriety, at a station with the faction present. Feels like the faction being present is exactly the thing that should let you pay the fine.

Anyway I think I've once again decided the on-foot gameplay is not for me. Every time I try I end up having a bad experience and not playing for a couple of days. The empty containers were really the icing on the cake. I could just about forgive it if they at least contained some of the thing I'm supposed to gather, but empty after I've faffed around breaking into the joint is insulting.

Well...I'm not doing any Powerplay stuff at the moment, not that bothered about it to be honest, and there seems to be a lot of niggling problems with it reading some players experiences with it. Talking of 'problems' there's a bug with the Carrier's cargo transfer to ship feature that's more of a pain currently. 😕
Anyhow...I bought the T8 yesterday and fitted it out with mostly A rated modules, no weapons though.
I'll tinker around with it today and see what modules I've got stored can be fitted / replaced instead of those A rated ones.
