[QoL : Grind Reduction] Engineered Module Material Recycling

This has probably been suggested before, couldn't find a thread though...

Even though it has improved recently, material gathering has always been a bit of a time sink right? How about we allow the player to recycle old unwanted engineered modules and regain 50% of the used materials? The trade off being that the module would be destroyed and not sellable so you would lose the credit value of the module in exchange for a large chunk of materials returned.

Most games with a crafting systems have a similar facility, and its pretty strange how ED does not. It would save the player a lot of time and allow a lot more experimenting with builds I think.

A simple search for the word "recycle" will show numerous posters suggesting this already. No need for a thread dedicated to the idea.

lol alright chill... Its exactly what I did and it was not clear at all, just a bunch of random pages in unrelated posts.

Nah. My mat bins are already full, don't want any more. Anyone want to buy a care package? I can't get rid of the damn things ...

If anything the game now needs more mat sinks.
Not true... I spent several hours today running between different material traders trying to grade 5 some damn lasers (and I already had 75% of the materials for the job). My module storage is full of 8 years of stuff which I could refactor and save all that faff.
