Definitely not essential, but these guys are so precious! I've been lucky enough to see them twice, though they're pretty rare in the US. I was so shocked when they were announced! I really hope they return in PZ2 at some point

Might as well pop back into this thread. The wild ass is the epitome of an "eh it's fine" kind of animal. Not really essential for anywhere, not really common, not really unique in the game taxonomically nor in niche, but also not the opposite in an extreme way. It's just okay; it's got a pretty model that I'd be sad to see scrapped and is one of the better additions in a mediocre pack, but with a bounty of hoofstock to choose from it'd take me a while to notice if this one in particular was suddenly removed from the game.

I really like it, but it's not as critical as some other picks. I'll leave it in save for DLC.

Essential. I understand some saying save for DLC but in this case I used it as a replacement for the American donkey so we don't need 2 of them. Would prefer to just get the Somali out of the 2 of them then get like a pony later on in a PZ2 DLC.

Essential. Let's not neglect New Zealand again. Yes i understand is rare in captivity blah blah but is an extremely iconic bird and one of the few worldwide famous animals from NZ. I also really love them. They are one of my favorite birds in the game. And they are already pretty much perfect so i don't think the DLC treatment would do anything for it in anyway other than just making us wait for them for years again and i don't want that.Animal #40 - North Island Brown Kiwi
