I only wish that Universal Cartographics and the other services would have been operational after the server tick.

This has to be a bug. I finally finished my science outpost a day after the tick and the UC was operational several hours later (when I checked , it could have been earlier). No shipyard and outfitting though repair/refuel, advanced maintenance & engineering were there. It's just a small outpost after all.
Have you checked your station services today?

I've recently docked at two player created Star ports.(Coriolis) one has missions active the other has not. Both have no Shipyard services and only repair and fuel facilities.
So...If you build a Coriolis Space Station how do you get a Shipyard to become active in it as well as the missions board?
The commodity buy / sell seems to be active at these stations, though the shipyard doesn't seem to be active by default?
I'm finding it difficult to obtain general in depth game instructions on building Coriolis stations and their facilities currently working in the beta, either searching on this forum or other game related media.
I'd like to build a Coriolis station, but not if there's no way to get the shipyard up and running with hanger space for your ships and modules. I'm also ignorant of that if a shipyard is possible what amount (and type) of commodities are needed.
I'm ready to start loading up the Colonisation Ship for a Coriolis build, so when I can get some of this above information that will sway me one way or the other, as whether to build it or abandon it.

Okay , I sorta derailed the topic with my last two posts, so I apologize for that, but it wasn't intended..
I've got many mapped and first footfall systems in the bubble in some areas. When the Colonisation update dropped I though I'd have plenty of time to claim some of those uninhabited lucrative ones, especially as previously (Before Colonisation) most of the outlying inhabited ones saw very very little in the way of player 'traffic'.
I have played the game for thousands of hours since it was first released. (Just checked in my commanders profile) 86 weeks 5 days. I'd got to pretty well know the systems and stations in some select areas in detail, so I was pretty confident I'd be able to easily start a station in one of those uninhabited systems of my first choices.

As Frontier stated recently, they were amazed with how the colonisation of systems is being progressing so quickly. I have to agree as I was totally caught as the saying goes with my pants down, and had to settle for a system that wouldn't have been my first choice.

Of course, many, many player groups started the land grab with pre-selected targets.
Leaving us solo players left out.

i have over seven thousand hours in this game, and I'm just stonkered at the level of activity. Systems with only stars are being colonized as gas stations/links.
My system just got the Space Farm completed. I'm now working on the Space Hospital and comm relay. I'm picking builds that only give pluses out.

"Scattered" doesn't even begin to describe it. It's like trying to figure out what's going on in a black box. We don't even know how two stations in the same system interact with each other

nobody is stealing anyone's system. the thread is for people who think they should be the architect for systems they did not claim, because reasons.

The reason I asked this as I saw another thread where someone was saying that somebody stole their system as soon as they finished their primary port. What I realise they were actually saying was someone else started a colonise claim on a system they were eying up but couldn't reach before they finished their port at the current system.
Here I was worried someone was going to come in and steal my system... hahaha... too funny
That pretty much what this thread is about. Somewhere for people to have a bit of a whine about someone stealing a system that they only feel they own but hadn't claimed.
Already doing it.
