A few hours ago I had landed by a crashed ship, I ran out of mine to grab a mission item from a container, and just as I was about to run back to my ship - it all went black.
I wish they'd do the "in-game" server maintenance countdown
Two hours later it said the servers are back on and it took a while to load the game for me and then at the final screen it cound not connect to the server.
I just know I'll be surrounded by hostiles when I get back in!
... and when I got back 3 hours later... time had expired on my missions. DAMN the timing!

Meanwhile, authentication and matchmaking server says no. And a mauve adder or two have insinuated themselves around my ankles. It may be time to stop trying to play Elite today.

Well, according to a very informative thread, it was to be 30 minutes. I've been playing Horizons: Forbidden West.

yes we are all just prisoners here of our own device be it tablet desktop etc
that was a nice hotel (cornwall i stayed in 89) in its day pity it burned down twice.........
pardon the pun here but i actually blame the CONdo devs sauatters are more considerate in general as they have to find some place else

I must be doing something stupid 'cos in the past two days (between server issues and updates) I have been flitting from station to station searching for an Artemis suit with sprint mod - not a sniff - not even any of the other two suits with sprint either. I made sure each station had not been updated since the Thursday server thingie but still no sign in over 40 stations (also there was not a single weapon with a scope mod).
Maybe I need to just load MSFS instead of getting frustrated at this.

it always seemed to me i am talking years back now that g3 pre modded suits were found in outposts aprox 30,000+ ls out mainly as i recall
i had trouble finding mine too but find them i did i have been all g5ed up for years now i remember my galactic postman pat days b4 the war kicked off lol

It's random. You will start to find them when you stop looking for them.
I built mine. Found an empty G3 and upgraded. Should be quicker these days.
i haven't used an apex for a time i doubt it but do they use sco now at all?
No, but given their legendary ability to not avoid small obstructions like rocks, planets and stars that might be a good thing.
Yeah, they still turn right into the exclusion zone of non-scoopable stars...
And getting one to fly you to a station imbedded in a ring always makes me wonder if I am about to be part of a Pachinko game again.
I am trying to get where I am going by jumping the carrier. However, the jump times, it seems, are still awful.

As long as you don’t need the credits it uses for a few years upkeep why not just park it somewhere? You can suspend the services to reduce the bill slightly.
Its existence doesn’t add to the jump timer issues unless you actually move it.
