They did, I guess you weren't keeping up?The news posts reads great success with 8000 systems claimed and 13000 structures started. FDev should have limited everyone to 1 system at a time with no moving on until a station was completed.
And a few hundred billion other systems. All that is left now is T-tauri stars, red dwarfs, and system with No planets.
As if facts have ever stopped people from complainingThey did, I guess you weren't keeping up?
well yeah, you can prove just about anything with factsAs if facts have ever stopped people from complaining![]()
That is because some CMDRs are pretty quick with any new feature. Apart from that, it's just plain bad form to complain about something you obviously haven't tried yourself or at least have no idea how it works. The "one system at a time" is a core feature present since day one and not a "facet of what they did and didn't change".I can't be bothered to read every facet of what they did and didn't change. I've been around looking and see lots of systems within a few lightyears that have a single commanders name on 3 or 4.
First of all, that's hyperbole. Are the coveted unicorn systems gone? Probably. Does it matter when there is still plenty around? Probably not.And nothing left for a lot of players that were waiting for the "official" rollout with no bugs.
That would be statistics you are thinking of!well yeah, you can prove just about anything with facts
there are two chains heading towards the coal sack.I cannot make sense of the claims that there is nowhere (i.e. half decent systems) left for CMDRs late to the colonisation activity. The bubble has expanded by several colonisation jumps in a few places (I would like to find out the maximum current daisy chain, so c'mon, fess up) and many systems within the bubble been taken. So what? There are many good systems just waiting to be noticed and CMDRs stake their claim. I have not claimed any systems, but I have looked at several possibilities for when I can. I may get beaten to the top couple on my list, but there are others out there.
No feds then. Are they hibernating?there are two chains heading towards the coal sack.
One is Aliance and one is Imperial.
they are about 5 or 6 links so far "I think" it was. each.
Last I saw they were heading to SOL.No feds then. Are they hibernating?
When I last looked there was an explosion of colonised systems around the chains.Five links would have up new space and systems up to 15ly from the daisy chain. Those looking for good systems might find it well worth the effort to look around the daisy chains (one or more jumps away).
Tricky. Most of the colonisations furthest from Sol have been from existing fringe systems like HIP 8396 or Exphiay or the Pleiades which happened to get contacts, so not actually involving very long chains (or recognisable chain shapes at all). I think the longest actual chain (i.e. in a single direction with no or minimal branching) is the one Canonn are constructing towards Polaris, which has reached Col 285 Sector UW-P b7-0 around 380 LY from Sol.I would like to find out the maximum current daisy chain, so c'mon, fess up
One of the other long chains (probably the second longest, but it's too much effort to count properly) is the Dukes of Mikunn project to reach Lagoon Nebula, which would when complete be the first 15% of a chain to Colonia. They've so far got as far as Col 359 Sector CS-I b11-7, which is almost as far at 360 LY from Sol.Still waiting for someone to organise that chain to Colonia.
It hasn't been. I'm not sure anyone is even making a particular attempt to head that way, looking at the map.and dindn't think the BETA would be used to colonize the entire bubble out to guardian sites.
well yeah, you can prove just about anything with facts
8,000 new systems means 8,000 new starting points to find a colony location from, as one who had no intention of starting a colony until at least one full week had passed so there would be some practical experience to draw on as to what happens when I think this is great.Ok. one system per commander from day 1. Got it. Still bloated in Beta. And nothing left for a lot of players that were waiting for the "official" rollout with no bugs. As for as complaints, tell that to the seasoned youtubers that complained and got the beta shut down for fixes needed, and then the report that beta activities would be permanent and was not just for testing. Oh well.
