DLC 19 Speculation

Honestly I think a garden pack could work, I think you just need something more exotic. I think incorporating more walk through habitats into it could be a good idea. So kind of like how the barnyard pack incorporated new species for the petting zoo feature, I imagine this pack would have animals that are also safe for people.
  1. Squirrel monkey 🌟
  2. Greater rhea
  3. Patagonian mara
  4. Muntjac
  5. Golden pheasant
  6. Mandarin duck
  7. Muscovy Duck
So now you have a bunch of new animals, exotic enough to appeal to most people, that can also give some mixed habitat walk through options. Just add on to that some new flowers, grass, shrubs, and trees and I think you would be doing pretty good.
This would be a petting zoo pack right? Because none of those animals are backyard animals haha ( well maybe muscovy and pheasants for those that have them as pets or somenthing)

I think a "Children's Zoo" Animal Pack is a great way to bridge between barnyards and zoos. I think I even shared my roster for this way back when:
  • Shetland Pony
  • Golden Pheasant
  • Mandarin Duck
  • Darwin's Rhea
  • White Stork
  • Ring-Tailed Coati
  • Patagonian Mara
  • Pond Slider (Exhibit Animal)
  • Ball Python (Exhibit Animal)
  • Corn Snake (Exhibit Animal)
  • Central Beaded Dragon (Exhibit Animal)
  • Koi (Exhibit Animal)

Not a petting zoo pack, as these aren’t animals which can’t be pet. No more than a kangaroo is supposed to be pet in a walkthrough habitat. It’s not using the petting zoo feature but the walkthrough habitat feature.

I do like this roster a lot. I would add a squirrel monkey or marmoset.

Watch us end up with a Wild West type pack lol....We need desperately need more SA animals but I honestly wouldn't be mad if we got something like:

New Animals:
  1. Elk (Wapiti)
  2. Coyote
  3. Greater Roadrunner or Burrowing Owl
  4. Jackrabbit/Hare (any)
  5. Bighorn Sheep
  6. Mustang
  7. American Black Bear
New Theme:
Western/Wild West
  • Covered Wagon Shop Shell
  • Saloon Doors
  • Horizontal Wood Building Set
  • Cow Skull/Bones
  • Horseshoes
  • Saddle
  • Another Rustic Fence Style

I would personally love a Wild West theme, the New World theme just doesn’t feel “American” enough if that makes sense? I think the Wild West is probably one of the more famous cultural “themes” to come from the US.

I suggested something really similar a while back, just with some Central American species in place of the mustang and elk lol... but yeah, an American West pack would definitely be a good one to round up some American odds and ends, I think. I'd buy this pack in a heartbeat.

Said pack would do wonders for me, but I’d swap something like mustang for white nosed coati and it be the perfect pack imao. Maybe this roster?
1. Elk (perfect) (could be ocelot)
2. White Tailed Coati
3. Roadrunner / Burrowing Owl (either!)
4. Jackrabbit please!
5. Bighorn Sheep (yes please)
6. Texas Longhorn, (trust me lol)
7. American Black Bear

Yeah some of them are a bit boring because I tried to think like Frontier and have easy almost clones for the most part ha ha.
Which has honestly been an issue with me, I’m fine getting “easy clones” but it’s just not the “easy clones” I need. Like sure, Frontier can make another medium sized antelope with lower effort. However when I could use another flamingo, crane, rhea, penguin, pheasant, or swan I may have to wait years to months.

The issue has never been with “easy clones”, at least for me, it’s just that Frontier often decides to use the same “clones” over and over again. An American or Chilean flamingo is such a great “easy clones” that could honestly go a long with with this rosters diversity.

It’s just weird how this is a building game with options, and still we don’t have more than one crane, swan, or flamingo. Atleast we have some penguins, ratities, and now for game birds have the peafowl and chicken.

I agree! I think it would be really cool if they just released an actual clone pack or offered singular animals and their signage for a couple bucks. I would love something like this for example:
  1. American Flamingo
  2. Black Swan
  3. Grevy's Zebra
  4. Masai Giraffe
  5. Black-Capped Capuchin
  6. Green Peafowl
  7. North American River Otter

Most of the packs are objectively cool and would add something new/fun to the games. All of these packs would be objectively disappointing as a finale.

About a week and a half before we get a hint or something!

I genuinely think the last pack should be bulked out by a tonne of clones. For example:
1. American Flamingo
2. Asiatic Lion
3. Elk
4. Eurasian Brown Bear
5. Eurasian Otter
6. Grévy’s Zebra
7. Humboldt Penguin
8. Iberian Wolf
9. Masai Giraffe
10. Nile Crocodile
11. Sumatran Tiger
12. Tufted Capuchin

There’s twelve minimal effort animals that would make ALL the difference. I’m not saying that should be ALL we get, but if they wanna do a big final send-off pack, they should bulk it out and make it heftier with these low effort / high impact choices!

Going off yours here would be mine:
  1. Sumatran Tiger
  2. Eurasian Brown Bear
  3. Asiatic Lion
  4. Squirrel monkey
  5. Perentie
  6. Nile Crocodile
  7. Greater Rhea
  8. Black Swan
  9. American Flamingo
  10. Gentoo penguin
  11. Helmeted guineafowl
  12. Whooping Crane
4 mammals, 2 reptiles, 6 birds. Not perfect but we get the Australian monitor, African crocodile, new world monkey, and 6 birds to flesh out the roster. North America and South America got two birds, while Oceania, Africa, and Antarctica each got another.

Personally if I could I would do 12 birds, but I think this would be a bit more balanced out for everyone.

I think there's a way to do this without being too samey. This is what I'd do:
  • Guinean Squirrel Monkey
  • Northern Gentoo Penguin
  • Darwin's Rhea
  • West African Crocodile
  • Asian Forest Tortoise
  • Argentine Black-&-White Tegu
  • Whooping Crane
  • Andean Flamingo
  • Wild Turkey
  • Rhesus Macaque
  • Greater Kudu
  • Shetland Pony
