Elite Dangerous | Trailblazers Update 2 - Wednesday March 19

With the Trailbazer ships deployed the issue with supply scarcity has been addressed. I just visited one of the ships and it is stocked to the gills.

They look very much like the colonization ships.

As noted by Paul, you can find the locations through GalNet. Once in the system, you can locate them using the Navigation screen (see below). I was not able to locate the ships themselves in the System Map screen, as an FYI....that might be a temporary glitch.

I flew there in Open but I would imagine these locations will soon attract gankers, so be prepared.

It's nice to see another patch, and before the main server tick too. Still, there's nothing in it that fixes the problems I've had, or are hold back for.

All my 'Settlement' class facilities have been constructed as a lower rank that the one I placed and supplied materials for (medium placed build as small, and large placed build as medium), so I have no large Settlement facilities even though that's what I've placed and provided materials for. I still got the correct Tier points though, so that's something I guess. It's just that the stats I was expecting to gain from those facilities are now lower than they should have been, and they have smaller landing pads too. So I'm not going to be placing any more Settlement class facilities until that's fixed.

Also no mention of the orbital port placement bug, so I'm holding off placing one of those until that's fixed. I'd really rather not place an Orbis around a body close-ish to the main star, only for it to appear 100k LS around the second star.

Still, a patch is better than no patch at all, and I'm sure they need to concentrate on the more game breaking bugs first. So, thanks for the patch FDev, just please hurry with the fixes for my problems too! 😁☺️
 
Please stop asking about this. Fleet carrier jump times are dynamic. 15 minutes is the minimum spin up time. More carriers trying to jump means longer spin up times. No update or bug fix is required for this as it is a game mechanic.
Calling it a Game Mechanic is being quite generous, and beside the point: game mechanics are still up for discussion and they can in fact be detrimental to play if poorly designed or implemented.

Some other “game mechanics”:
  • Crash to desktop when scanning mega ships with datalink scanner. (They’re deploying cyberwarfare countermeasures!)
  • Mandatory launcher application rather than loading game directly. (It’s the passport office at the station concourse!)
  • said launcher has a panel which displays game’s network status, but the info is always wrong (it’s a local traffic and road closure report and government bureaucracy errs on the side of pretending “everything is fine”)

Or maybe these are quality issues in an entertainment product and sometimes publicly traded corporations err on the side of allowing their game to be less fun if they think it’ll save them money. I dunno 50/50
 
Maybe this is a stupid question, but I thought we can upgrade our facilities, i.e. starting with Tier 1 and then gradually going to 3 but I don´t find anything about it 🤔

I’ll believe it when I see it that they can handle the demand (especially of carriers jumping in close to fill up). If they do, then I guess I’ll be (pleasantly) surprised in my expectations being proven wrong.

… though of course, Frontier can always adjust the figures. And it’s already a good thing to have a space-based location for CMM Composites (and as has been becoming the case at my corner lately, non-planetary locations for steel and titanium especially within convenient range).

It will be interesting, but if the resupply rate matches what I have recently seen at my current "fishing holes", we should be okay. I was impressed, but then again, I impress easily.
 
Severe stavility issues here....Nearly 2 hours until and I'm getting reperitive mauve adders. It's been like this for a number of days (I think since the server update a few days ago).

I have, three times very recently had nothing my Odyssey fuel rat account and my Live Horizons fuel rat caaount (running on separage PCs) mauve adder simultaneously whilst just sitting in normal space with galmap open.

Also 50 mins or so ago, on a ruel aat rescue, I had problems accepting team invites.. The option was there in the menus, but clicking on it did nothing... Then suddenly it worked. Servers should had time to get stable by then.,
Yup, getting these repeatedly - so far about 5 in less than 30 minutes.

Make that 6... Can't complete missions right now.

There are six megaships? I thought the CG only reached tier 5? Or was it always 1 plus the reached tier?

Well, I'm not complaining, just wondering.

If Echo is stocked up, that would make 7. I only checked out Bletii since that was the closest to where I'm building.

Maybe we got a sixth one as the Echo is just a standard megaship and is occupying a central(ish) location in the Bubble.

Just a guess though.
