DLC 19 Speculation

The only other animal I could see either replacing the coati or being the other animal is another primate either the tamarin, howler, spider or squirrel.

If this is a Central America pack, it would be weird for the only monkey to be the saki monkey. Not saying I don’t love it, but why choose it over 4 other monkey species that are more iconic to the region? If it’s a Central America pack I could see them getting away with the 5-2 ratio. They’ve done 2 primates in a pack before. They could take multiple species from the top 10 of the meta wishlist, and tamarin, spider and howler are all in there. Last time we got 2 primates from the same continent, 1 in the art and the other a surprise. Could we get that again?

So if it’s Americas with a 4-3 ratio, Bobcat and Coati. But if it’s Central America with 5-2, Coati and another monkey.
Just throwing it out there that the ocelot does fit the Central American theme. If certainly rather have a second monkey but it’s not altogether unlikely pick

ETA: correction we keep bringing up Central American when it can’t be as already pointed out.

Y’all it’s NOT Central America pack

This could be there redemption pack with 2 birds and 2 primates but is it likely I don't know

Yup, I think a lot of people so far have been assuming that it's a Latin America Animal Pack; fits for pretty much all the animals so far.
Personally im going with a more general americas theme. Bighorn sheep seems to me like a pretty strange animal to put in a latin america pack, techincally qualifies, but like 98% of their range is NA so it feels like making an africa pack and putting the wild boar in.

Are we really going to act as if we hadn't had worse choices than a Desert Bighorn Sheep being in a Latin America Pack? 😂 I didn't forget about Arid and Grasslands having animals that should have been switched lol.

IDK, you got a North American Animal Pack and a South America Pack; I'm going to say that Latin America Animal Pack does sound better than America(s) Animal Pack.

Mexico is culturally part of latinamerica, while geographically is north america. And coyote and big horned sheep have range in Mexico... So it still fits. There are better more representative choices? Yes, but is technically it is latinamerican animal as well. I guess they just can't help them self not including ungulates and just like with the swines before they seem to have an obsession with caprine lately (not that i'm complaining, i love almost all the picks for the caprines, minus the alpine goat but i don't hate it either).

Central america pack with the only animal from central america being the coyote and potentially american flamingo would be crazy

Markhors aren't arid dwellers and I don't where you're getting that information.
Yes they are. Markhor subspecies found in Pakistan are primarly found in hot and arid climate. This is average markhor environment in their southern range.

Im genuienly curious why do you think otherwise. Quick google search indicate markhors can tolerate extreme hot as well as mild winters as far as it is dry enough.

We love fact checking, truly one of the strongest superpowers in a discussion
