Well it’s just that, it’s become a vital part of modern Australian ecosystems so it’s no longer invasive by definition - invasive species are considered non-native animals that harm the native environment. That was probably true of the dingo when it first arrived, but they’ve now integrated into the ecosystem to the point they actually play a role in encouraging biodiversity.I know you defend the dingo as a native Australian animal and a vital part of the ecosystem (as do I for the most part) but they of course were human introduced and outcompeted a lot of native carnivores driving hen to extinction. What is your line of when something is invasive to when it’s been naturalized in your opinion?
That’s true, and I guess which definition the dingo fits will depend on personal opinion. I consider them native at this point, given again, the dingo as we know it evolved in Australia. There is a distinction between "native" and "naturalised". They do not mean the same thing.
Maybe let's not endorse re-selling old species with zero unique changes to their modelstbh if this is how PZ2 looks I wouldn’t complain, many species from DLCs in base game and deluxe seems actually worth it! Wonder if we will get aquatics or aviaries…
I'm not wading into a dingo discussion with an Australian! That’s true, and I guess which definition the dingo fits will depend on personal opinion. I consider them native at this point, given again, the dingo as we know it evolved in Australia.
The justification for reselling is the addition of juvenile and male models (branded as a family unit), not something justifiable for PZ2.Sad but realistic view into our future.
Honestly I hope that's the caseWith jwe3 I think this will be the last dlc for pz

I agree, I'm not expecting a full roster for PZ2 release. Not at all and I might be hated for saying this, but I wouldn't want it. I do want new animals from scratch. As good as the PZ1 ones are, digital artwork can always be improved through innovation and advancements in technology. I think PZ2 can start off with a bang even with say, 80 species or whatever if the artwork is fresh and fantastic.Honestly, I'm not expecting every species in PlanZo 1 in a hypothetical PlanZo 2. Really, it wouldn't be smart. Yeah, people will be disappointed about having to buy said animals again, but what would they even make DLCs about anyways? Filling them up with aquarium and aviary animals won't be enough, I'm betting on it. Adding a macaw and an arapaima won't be enough to justify an Amazon pack to most people, but throw in a jaguar and you got a much more popular pack that can make everyone happy.
Animals will possibly get cut, several may be replaced by different choices. What's gonna make or break PlanZo 2 is gonna be enhanced game features, like improved management in-game, a proper 1st person mode (interactive, etc.), improved pathing (and pathfinding), improving the deep dive and climbing systems, and a heckuva lot more (I'm hoping for multiple habitat gates)
Me too! My friend and I have a special slow loris dance. Yes we are THOSE people on the dance floor. This little guy has been on my India wishlist for years. Love these little goobers so much
Lack of Big name material to sell DLCs for sequel.I'm gonna be honest, if PZ2 doesn't have all the animals that we have now, it would be a massive turn down for me.
Yes JWE3 won't has all the animals, but in this case it's understandable cuz they need to add an additional model for all the 122 animals, and another one for some of them. But in PZ case i don't se a single, non-predatory reason to not add everyone again.
There's 122 animals in JWE2... 122 - 80 = 42, not less than 30... and considering there's a decent chance of new animals in the base game, the number is likely higher...The Steam page for JWE3 said that there are over 80 species, meaning that around 30 (probably less) got cut.
