Just looking at t-9 optionals, 1050t is my guess. 1200 at the highest though. People wanting 1500 are coping.

That would really be a cool thing. They should instead be panicking and shouting "Clear the mailsot ! Clear the mailslot ! 3500t behemoth coming through !". And no, that's not cargo capacity but total mass. Hull around 1300-1500t, cargo 1200t, rest is modules. Yep, I'm one of those (well not demanding) because 728t in a Clipper (I never go shieldless) means literally hundreds of loads to shift if I wish to delve deeper into colonisation experimentation, so something that could shift at least 7 times that amount makes sense in my ancient old noggin. But, as always, the conservative incremental improvement is likely to be FD's choice.
