Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Here I am, swooping in like a bird of prey to buy some Superconductors for the current CG.

I'm only going to deliver a single load, in order to get the 45 million bonus, plus a point-defense module I will have little use for :p

As for Dominator suits, what I eventually settled on is
Faster Shield Regen, Night Vision, Improved Battery Capacity, Damage Resistance

And that has worked fine for me. Extra ammo would be nice, perhaps, but this works great.

I'm carrying an Executioner sniper rifle with Audio Masking, Scope, and Stability, which works great for those long-range stealthy shots.

I have an Intimidator shotgun with Magazine size, Stowed Reloading, and Audio Masking, for taking out guards without raising a fuss.

And lastly, I have a Tormentor pistol with Noise Suppressor, Audio Masking, Stowed Reloading, and Scope. For most missions I use this gun the most. It's remarkably deadly and very stealthy.

I've never felt the need for any further mods.

Alright, losers, I'm back! I'm going to be Mr Exploration until further notice though I think until PP and TB decide what they are and what they aren't. I'm going to be so very much Mr Exploration I've signed up for Canonn and all that.
While you are having fun signing up for things explory I will post this link though you have probably seen it.

Hi :)
Alright, losers....

How did you know? :D
I got up and left the game this morning to make a cup of coffee, just as my cutter came out of supercruise at a station. I thought I had enough time to get back to my chair and select auto dock...nope!....seems I must've ploughed into the station or something as I was greeted by the re-buy screen (32,000,000 or there abouts). I've had 2 re-buys this last fortnight by being careless, last time was a bit more expensive as I had over 700t of valuable cargo, this time though it was just the ship. No excuses, unshielded ships need care and attention. 😬

... I'm going to be Mr Exploration until further notice though I think until PP and TB decide what they are and what they aren't....

I must admit, I'm not 'in' to Trailblazers, it seems very involved so I've steered clear of it for now. Colonisation seems (over) complicated enough for me so I've not progressed very far in that direction either at the moment.

Hi :)
Today I will be doing some more bounty hunting tomorrow or maybe Wednesday I might try more hauling.

Doing both today but I'm not in any hurry, I'm still looking for some 'cheap' Tritium, plus I'm doing the odd trade mission when it presents itself.
I've taken one on from Vespucci City for 45t of Mined Samarium which I've got some of on my Carrier, which I'll offload with my next delivery of Polymers.

Jack :)

You can bet your CMDR history that both the Buckyball Racing Club and the Elite Racers (and probably a few others) would yell "challenge accepted" and devise a race that woud require you to:
  • stay in front of the slot and request docking permission
  • get inside the station and back out again
  • circle once around the back of the station and then
  • cicle once round every spoke
  • before finally beuing allowed to pass on into the station and touch down
This sounds like fun! Where and when? 😁

Wait, what? 25 million per ship? It sounds like I'm at the wrong gig.
Not quite.
50 million for contributing more than 1 credit in valid bounties.

Hi All :)

Well...not a great deal of progress with this latest CG but I've managed to get over 75% in the combat and 50% in the trade, so I've stopped now.
Servers are supposed to go down from 7am onwards, The Frontier store (Elite Dangerous) will be down as well.
And servers back up roughly 4 hours from now.

Jack :)

I am impaled on the horns of a dilemma. Having said I don't fly big ships I had no more than a passing interest in today's update. But reading the thread, someone made the fateful observation that with a green paintjob the Panther Clipper II is essentially Thunderbird 2. Oh, my beating heart!

This year (September) will mark the 60th anniversary of the first broad cast of Thunderbirds. I was 9 years old and became an instant and lifelong fan. And Thunderbird 2 is one of the most beautiful craft to grace the skies.

The Panther doesn't really look like Thunderbird 2, and yet...

My late friend who also worked in UK aerospace told me once of a visit Gerry Anderson got to British Aerospace in Bristol probably in the 70’s he was surprised that a lot of the visit ended up being about TB2 and how they had calculated its effectiveness as a lifting body.

I went ahead and purchased the unlock for the Standard version of the Panther Clipper (on my Alt). I have not yet flown it, it's barely usable with all E-class modules (and it came with 2 fixed pulse lasers! haha!)

My Alt does not have enough money to outfit this thing. Just buying a powerplant is gonna cost 116 million or so.

So it's going to have to be a long-term project for me.

I just couldn't bring myself to pay the extra ARX for a bunch of non-engineered modules and cargo racks, especially since none of them can be swapped out or stored. Cargo racks that I can't store? Nope. Not gonna pay for that.

Anyway, the ship is indeed massive. Truly massive. That's me in the blue area near the ramp.
