Patch Notes Update Gamma 1.03 incoming

Great to see another patch but the lack of a fix for the Stellar Cartography Crash to desktop makes me sad. :(

It is worth pointing out that you can't fix a bug you can't either replicate or isolate.

I did notice that Michael made a note about it possibly being fixed on the server side, which isn't something that would show up in the patch-notes, as those generally just refer to things changed in the client. To me that suggests that when new patches are released, it would be nice if they could include a list of server-side fixes since the last client patch.

Ed did post the server side fixes for the last patch, perhaps they don't know up front which ones they can include without breaking things!

As our " feedback is incredibly important", here is mine:

- I can't play the game at all :
When i abandon a mission i get disconnected from the server.

OR

When a mission timer comes to 0, i get disconnected as well.
BUT i can't log back!! I get disconnected as i enter the game.

So i can't play anymore...

Help me ObiWan Kenobi, you are my only hope !!

I've been having this problem for ages, I've got an open ticket about it as well. Hopefully it'll get sorted soon, but just know you're not alone!

no fix for cartographer crash yet?
.
what if I reinstall from fresh will it wipe my settings, think I should copy over my hotas to DT just incase

Thanks !

Any idea when we will be able to obtain permits with mission ?

Maybe there might come missions that also issue permits later on...don't know...but this is how you do it for now.

Permits are issued by the controlling authority once your rank or reputation is high enough. For independent systems check nearby systems with the same minor faction as the controlling minor faction for the locked system. They should provide you with a permit once they like you enough. There currently isn't a filter to block missions if you don't have a valid permit.

Michael

Makes more sense to give you a permit if they trust you rather then just because you took on a mission from them as an unknown individual.

So, the Bug that causes a crash to desktop for some of us upon trying to open Universal Cartographics couldn´t be found and fixed with 1.03 yet?

That makes me a sad byzantine general :(

me too, osted a few mins ago, puppy eyes ensue, and my dog does it best, altho a text from my friend who is off work for a week, already had the update and said he just sold some to carties, he could be trolling me tho

Any info on some distant systems not allowing you to connect to them? (i.e. disconnects you to main menu when you try to warp to them)

So, maybe this isn't the best place for this, but since the topic came up... what types of things actually raise reputation with a faction? As primarily an explorer it doesn't seem like I'm getting any traction despite making a point of selling on Empire controlled stations. :p

Try reading the whole thread next time...it's only two pages after all... ;) :p

Oh O.K. ... I thought the list in the OP would be the complete list of fixes ... but this explains everything:

I might add that I agree that it would be very nice if they would include the list of server side changes as well ... at least those that refer to reported bugs by players.

Good to read that the bug will be fixed

" - Fixed possible crash if you happen to shut down a ship on the same frame as it fires a drone"

Woooo! Wassat relating to then?
