at the minute 53, by the sound in seems the pilot give more power to the engines.
I hope that in the final game we are able to allocate power between engines, shields and weapon, like in the x-wing series. It would add much more tactics to the game.

Which wonderful video. Which profusion of detail. When I would be in the game, I believe that I shall not can any more, come back on the earth.

Will there be other kinds of music than classical?

Will there be other kinds of music than classical, like for example the music you hear in the Dev Diary videos?

Have been thinking about it for a while but this vid has pushed me to up my pledge - I'm going to have to pay out loads more for a new machine anyway at some point. The total is moving upwards on the web app so I guess others have had the same idea.

Looking forward to the private beta!

That did the trick for me too.
Going to check if there's more candies in the following months.
If so my pledge is going to increase, month by month.

Not a threat nor a Conditio si ne qua non.
It's just that I'm so Stupidly happy about this vid I simply HAD to throw ka-ching at Frontier people...

Here's a thought... March is six months away.... Imagine how good the released product is going to be when they're showing off this kind of thing with six months still left in which to deliver!!!!

I refuse to participate further in any of the, now far too many, threads relating to Server Funding, Subscriptions, Cash in game blah blah blah... FD have already stated their funding model and I'm not a fan of Cash for Credits as it can unfairly tip the balance in favour of the buy experience brigade...
Kit and experience should be earned and not bought....
Argghhh!!! ENOUGH ALREADY!

yep.. have you looked at the otherwise annoying ships on the android active wallpaper AP? I like it, i cant stand it for long, it moves to much, which i don't need on an idle android stick

Back to the composure video: so, the comms - scripted here, including the "player's" audio communications. I'm looking forward to hearing how that's handled for real in the game.

spelling edit: composer :D

Doubt we'll get the amount of audio depicted in the video, would involve ALOT of audio..

I wonder if Cathy is referring to the graphical representation of the speech patterns rather than the actual speech itself?
Nah, I meant the talkie talkie itself :)

I imagine that it would be fairly easy to deploy generic npc chatter, e.g. in around stations, as an effect which you can tune in or out. I was wondering whether specific npc comms for missions etc., like the one in the video, will all have to be text only. Or whether some pre-recording of various voices for pre-defined messages, or even text-to-voice for scripted mission comms, will be possible for npcs' communications to add to the flavour.

Just crowdsource the voices, how bad could it be?

crowdsourced voices said:
... ow, my onesie ...

... I will PvP you, carebear! ...

... this slave is claimed in the name of The Holy Rock ...

Ok, maybe not.
