So the Python should be as fast as A-kitted, unarmored Asp with no cargo?
Also why should the Python have better shields ratings than the Anaconda?

Nobody said it should have a better shield than a Ana.. Even I can agree to that.. but you have to agree that a 180,000,000 ship shouldnt be a sitting duck for 2 maxed out cobra's that combined cost less than 20 million..

Yes for the price and cost of runnig it
The price is not that bad because your earning capability goes up with along with the expenses...
I agree, it'd be TONS more realistic to just have the word "Immune!" float over the target, when those pleb cobra pilots take shots at the obviously superior python.
It should be that way for every ship. Pay more for it, it's immune to anything that cost less.
Type 7 earns just as much without the astronomical running costs. Fuel scoop is a must in a python when trading which takes up space and time, 6 jumps and you have 100K fuel bill!!!
Yes, like I said - with a 6A it'll go from 605.2 to 403.5, and be the second highest rating in the game (and about 33% stronger than the Clipper, the next highest, if you ignore the possibility of an 8A on a Type-9).@BigBadB
It should be a 33% nerf of the "final shield protection", no matter the modules, nor the pips. -33% in every situations (due to how the equation works).
The Type 7 can't lasorbeam a cobra into vapour in couple of seconds.
Three Cobras can take out Conda right now, combined cost 30 million vs 600 million.
We can play this cost game all day. You seriously think ship cost should be directly proportional to effectiveness?
It is the mmo mentality where grinding=uber gear for roflstomping noobs. Some here even openly said an expensive ship should compensate for player skill. I played a lot so I should win. That kind of mentality.
Ah well. I have changed my mind a little though: the nerf should not effect iceyjones. His heartbreaking tale of how he did not sit on his butt melts even the iciest of hearts.
But more and more of a select few are buying Pythons and that starts the moaning... They want to destroy what they refuse to earn and are crying to the Devs to help them.. I don't think that's a fair way of handling the issue.
You have an interesting definition of 'average'.well i agree that this ship is far from being usefull after the nerf... it will be slow, average shield, bad jump range, average cargo, extremly costy, heavy weapons... if i were a new player, i would never even think of buying this to say the truth...

The shield will be the second strongest in the game (after the 'conda, which the python currently beats) - about a 33% stronger than the next highest combat capable ship (the Clipper).
It will, as far as I'm aware, still be by far the most agile large ship (at least until any of the new ones are added).
It will have the third highest cargo capacity in the game (after the 'conda and Type-9) and by far the largest capacity that can land on outposts.
It will still have a superb hardpoint layout.
It'll still look exceptionally cool.![]()
Sounds like you been losing at games all your life because someone worked a little harder at getting better than you did... may I suggest checkers?
Then just make every ship the same price, if not what is the point of spending more to get the same? grinding is supposed to give you access to better gear, should you like it or not, it's the whole point of giving a feeling of progression to the player.
