you fixed it how?
Yes! I get this problem. I'm using r9 295x2 -peace
I didn't mean to post that for everyone to read. That's why it looks so out of place. It was just for one person. Thought I was on reddit or something... I don't know. As for judder and stuff it would seem that AMD tells us just what it is and why it happens in their write up on their new LiqudVR drivers. I don't think anything will fix it until we get new SDK from Oculus or AMD gives us the new drivers. And it seems like their tech only works on AMD video cards. I'm playing at 1440p at 75 fps. My problem was the problem someone else was having with the Oculus just jiggling for no reason. Then when you put your hands over the unit the GFX turn gray and it stops... Then it starts again like 3-5 min later. It's strange... And it doesn't happen all the time. I can go days without it happening. -peace
Yeah I'm glad to see people like you trying to get it working right. It's been very upsetting watching day after day go by and no new SDK from oculus. It would seem that you need a GearVR to get any love from them now. This problem should have been hot fixed a month ago. Yes I did flip my screen after seeing people over in the Oculus forum talk about it. And I was shocked. I was like really??? No way... then I did it and I was like DAMN it's smoother. I would flip my screen in a heart beat. but my thinking is right after I do, they will fix it with a driver or something. Lets hope we get some new drivers today from Oculus and the wonderful team that has made ED will put them in the game ASAP. I can't play this game on a monitor anymore. Looking over my shoulder in the new ship and seeing a ship in back of me in the new beta almost made me burst into joyful tears! I was like WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG I wasn't ready!!! this is to good.. Then judder judder.......![]()
As a ED player with about 60 hours in the game with DK2 i can say that when i have solid 75fps, its like heaven. You really feel the prescence like you are there. I have that out in space and outside station. Howerever it drops when cruising by the planets and inside stations. I think oculus demanding 90fps in the future is to further avoid motion sickness for as many people as possible. But obvously its going to exteremely taxing on the computers and modern games. Hopefully they can solve it with a perfect crossfire or SLI solution, but where not ehere yet. Still DK2 in ED is a bliss when its all working at 75fps. It still have low res flaws and strain your eyes somewhat, but man, its really is a great expeience.
I few days ago i spent about 6h straight in the DK2 hauling cargo all around. And i didnt feel ill for one second. Just came out with a smile, and wanted more. Thats how good it can be
The biggest problem i have so far is the galaxy map and have to type in the name of a star i want to go to. I wishe they had some virtual keyboard inside the game so I wouldnt have to lift up the DK2 and type.
I am also getting the duplication effect, or what I would prefer to call it, the "drunkard" effect.
However, when I rotate the display 180 (flipped), then the drunkard effect goes away.
Of course, there is no way to play a game upside down - with the head tracking also being inverted!
Still, I wonder if some of the DK2s have had their displays installed the opposite direction at the factory.
Are you connecting the USB cables from the head set and the tracking camera to a powered USB hub, and that to an USB2 (not USB3) connector on your PC?
I am not sure if this helps any, I have just read the sometimes using USB3 connectors or low-power USB2 connectors on the motherboard can cause tracking issues.
I am using a powered USB2 hub myself, and have no such problems.
Might be a long shot, but hope this helps!
