i had a friend ask me again today how elite's going and if he should buy it. I told him to wait until gamescom aug 5th before bothering

Yeah... I haven't launched the game in months. The last time I loaded it I just sat in the star port for a minute and exited back out. I'm really hoping the next update will breathe some new life into the game. I'd be willing to shell out some cash for a paid expansion. Should keep my reasonably occupied until Fallout 4.

I bet they (FD) have had reports back... but as long as sales continue to climb, via Steam, XBone etc...a few forum quit threads won't worry them

Hello good people,
It is really really sad, but I'm starting to get a little tired of Elite, the developers have a wrong focus according to my opinion. They focus to much on pvp and combat. I need more exploration and the wonders of space. More player owned and controlled objects. Build stuff in space and on planets. I want planet landing. Flying in the clouds of gas giants or a planet. More player to player trading and teamwork. Hate all their limitations, just so they can make more player vs player competitions out of it. Am I alone in this? :S

Getting tired on my end as well - PP burned me out a bit, looks like I am on my way to a break. Still checking the forums, but haven't logged in this week.

Surely I will be back, not sure yet when though.

Yeah..their big luck is not to have any business competitions.. SC isn't one cuz it's still not done for years.. If there would be something else that could challenge ED in case of a space simulator FD would have real problems. Imagine Freelancer just the old Freelancer as it is with ED graphic and flight model......jeeez.....

What I can't understand is why they don't overthink the whole PP model. Sure the quit threads aren't enough for FD to get their attention, but there are sooooooooooo (can't be enough o's) many threads, YouTube Vids, Gamemagazin Tests about how bad designed PP is and still they say we do our stuff, live with it lol..

I've been playing Elite EVERY week since I got it new years. Am I bored?......well no, I'm fully enjoying it. As others have said after the utter lull in space sims this is an awesome game. Could it have more and be better? Of COURSE it could. But very few games hold me for THIS long! And I'm on my way to Sag A at the mo so a few more weeks of gaming coming right up!

You know what i like to see. A community goal to build a station on the other side of the galaxy so people can leave the Federation,Empire,and Alliance to destroy each other with power play. The can even call it the New world. Escape from the powers.

That could well be interesting!
